Welcome to Week 12 of the NFL season as we near the 3 Quarters mark of the season as things are starting to heat up. Last week my record was 3-2, which dropped my record down to 41-23 making my winning percentage drop from 64.4% to 64.1%. This week I’ll be predicting 7 really good games and hopefully I can make a run towards that 70% goal.

Kansas City Chiefs logoOakland Raider logoThis is the Thursday night game between 2 AFC West rivals when the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the Oakland Raiders. The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a huge victory against the Seattle Seahawks last week and they’re starting to look like a real contender in the AFC. Jamaal Charles is looking like a MVP candidate after a great performance last week and continuing to carry the team. The Oakland Raiders are still looking for their first win this season despite playing some good football in games against teams like the Chargers and Seahawks. The Chiefs will win this game!!!

Chiefs Win 26-17

Detroit Lions helmet logoNew England Patriots helmet logoThis is a battle between 2 of the best teams in their respective conferences when the Detroit Lions visit the New England Patriots. The Lions are coming off a tough loss against Arizona last week in a tough, defensive game. With Calvin Johnson starting to get back into the swing of things for the offense, they should be improving and the defense is one of the best in the league. The New England Patriots look like they’re probably the best teams in the AFC after going on a 6 game winning streak and beating teams like the Broncos, Bengals, Colts and they’re clicking on all cylinders and will win.

Patriots Win 31-21

Cincinnati Bengals helmet logoHouston Texans LogoThis is a battle between 2 of the teams in the AFC that seem like they’re trying to make a playoff push as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Houston Texans. Last week, the Bengals looked like the team that everyone has been hoping for. They dominated the Saints on the road en route to a huge win to take over the division lead by percentage points in a division where everyone has a winning record. The Texans rebounded last week in Cleveland in a big way with the road win behind QB Ryan Mallet, could they have discovered their starter for the future? Only time will tell, but the Texans will win!!!

Texans Win 23-20

Arizona Cardinals logoSeattle Seahawks logoWe have a big time battle between NFC West foes as the division leading Arizona Cardinals visit the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and the 12th Man. The Cardinals have the best record in the league and have a 3 game lead over the Seahawks heading into this game. Arizona has been successful with timely defense and not turning the ball over on offense. Now the Seahawks are coming off a tough loss in Kansas City and have one of the toughest schedules in the league for the rest of the year. They need to win these home games and they should beat the Cards.

Seahawks Win 26-17

Miami Dolphins Helmet logoWe have another tough game out of the AFC as the Miami Dolphins head to face the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins have won 4 of their last 5 games and have looked great, especially on defense where they’re only allowing a little over 300 yards a game. Also, they have one of the best running games in the league; will all that be enough to beat the Broncos on the road? Denver is coming off an embarrassing loss last week in St. Louis where they only scored 7 points and was losing players left and right on offense. Will the Mile High air be enough to get them back on track? I say YES!!!

Broncos Win 38-21

Dallas Cowboys Star LogoNew York Giants LogoThis is the Sunday night game between NFC East rivals as the Dallas Cowboys visit the New York Giants. The Cowboys are coming off a bye week and they couldn’t pick a better time for the bye week to come because they have been banged up and the rest will help them. Will Tony Romo still feel the effects of having 2 fractures bones in his back? Can DeMarco Murray continue his running pace? The New York Giants are coming off their worse game this season last week when Eli Manning threw 5 INTs against the 49ers making it 5 losses in a row. I think the Giants will upset the Cowboys!!!

Giants Win 34-31

Baltimore Ravens Black LogoNew Orleans Saints LogoThis is the Monday night game between 2 teams that are hoping to make the playoff as the Baltimore Ravens visit the New Orleans Saints. The Ravens are coming off their bye week after beating the Titans 21-7 and they’re in the division where everyone has a winning record. The Ravens could definitely use a win on Monday night to keep pace with everyone else in their division. The Saints are definitely having one of those unexpected seasons where they seemed to be one of the better teams in the NFC. After losing at home to the Bengals last week I can’t see them losing again at home.

Saints Win 31-21

Well that’s all for Week 12 of the NFL season and I’m hoping to hit a winning streak so I can reach my 70% winning percentage. What did you think about my picks? What game are you looking forward to the most?
