Welcome to my college football predictions for New Year’s Eve as I try to get to my 70% winning percentage. My last post saw me go 5-1 which raised my record to 60-28, which upped my winning percentage from 67.1% to 68.2%. With these 3 games I’m predicting I’m hoping I can get closer to my goal as we head to the big games on New Year’s Day. Let’s Get Started!!!

Ole Miss Rebels logoTCU Horned Frogs logoWe start things off with the early game from Atlanta, GA as the 9th ranked Ole Miss Rebels face the 6th ranked TCU Horned Frogs in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. The Rebels finished the season on a strong note by beating their in-state rival Mississippi State Bulldogs after being shut out by Arkansas the week before. Can the Rebels offense shine without WR David Treadwell? TCU come into this game with their only loss to Baylor by 3 points and was very upset that they didn’t make the playoffs. Will the Horned Frogs be up for this game despite not being a playoff game? I think they will win this one!!!

                                                                          Horned Frogs Win 37-24

Boise State Broncos logoArizona Wildcats logoWe head to Glensdale, AZ for the Vizio Fiesta Bowl as the 20th ranked Boise State Broncos face the 10th ranked Arizona Wildcats. The Broncos come into this game with a top 10 scoring offense and they only loss a couple of games this year with one being to Ole Miss. The thing that scares me is that they didn’t have a big win over a ranked team this year and that could prove to hurt them. The Wildcats had a pretty good season with huge wins over Oregon, Utah and Arizona State this year. They were blown out by the Ducks in the title game but they will rebound and beat the Broncos.

                                                                         Wildcats Win 41-27

Mississippi State logoGeorgia Tech logoWe now head to Miami Gardens, FL at Sun Life Stadium Capital One Orange Bowl as the 7th ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs face the 12th ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs was one of the top teams towards the end of the season before losing 2 out of 3 games to finish the season. Dak Prescott was the Heisman frontrunner for most of the year before he tapered off. The Yellow Jackets come into this game having the 3rd ranked rushing offense in the country. Can the Yellow Jackets run game be effective against the tough Bulldog defense? I’m going with the Yellow Jackets!!

                                                                          Yellow Jackets Win 34-27

What do you think about my picks in these 3 games? Can I reach the 70% winning percentage by the end of the bowl season?
