Welcome to the final series to get under way in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs as the 2nd seed Houston Rockets face the 3rd seed Los Angeles Clippers. The Houston Rockets have enjoyed some much needed rest as they finished off the Dallas Mavericks in 5 games. The Los Angeles Clippers were in a grueling seven game series as expected against the defending champion, San Antonio Spurs.
The Houston Rockets looked great in their opening round series against the Mavericks and some may say that it was partly the many issues the Mavericks had with their team. You had the injury to Chandler Parsons and the issues with Rajon Rondo, but that doesn’t take away from the play of the Rockets. They continue to be led by MVP candidate, James Harden who scored 42 points in the closeout game. Can the Rockets finally advance to the Western Conference Finals as many expected with Howard joined the Rockets? On the other hand, how about the last series the Clippers have just had against the Spurs? One of the best opening round series I’ve ever seen and the Clippers have to be concerned with the health of Chris Paul who’s dealing with a sprained hamstring. The health of Chris Paul will be the main factor in this series along with the great play from Blake Griffin. Can the Clippers rebound from the great seven game series against the Spurs to beat the Rockets? I believe the great year of the Clippers will continue and it’ll take another seven game series to do it.
Los Angeles Clippers Win Series 4-3
