Now it’s time for the Eastern Conference Finals as the Atlanta Hawks face the Cleveland Cavaliers for the chance to go to the NBA Finals. I had the Atlanta Hawks winning their series against the Washington Wizards, but I had the series going seven games and the Hawks finished them off in six games. Now onto the Cleveland Cavaliers who many NBA Playoffs experts had them as the favorite to come out of the East to advance to the NBA Finals are here after finishing the Chicago Bulls off in six games. I’ll admit that I had the Bulls winning the series in six games over the Cavaliers.
The Atlanta Hawks are the top seed in the Eastern Conference, even though places like ESPN doesn’t still give them their respect and they also finished with the 2nd best record in the league. The season the Hawks put together a great season and pretty much dominated throughout the season until they started resting players and had the Eastern Conference won. The Hawks will definitely have to play a better series against the Cavs than they did against the Nets and Wizards. With the Hawks making their first Conference Championship since being in Atlanta, can they finally reach the NBA Finals? We have the Cleveland Cavaliers, whom everyone knew they would be in this position playing for the chance to go to the NBA Finals. The big question of the series will be the health of Kyrie Irving, who’s dealing with multiple injuries seeing they’re without Kevin Love. Will LeBron James be the dominate guy he’s always been in the Conference Finals in the past? This should be a very competitive series and my heart wants to see the Hawks finally make it to the NBA Finals, but I think the Cavs will take it.
