How Sports Stadiums are Optimizing the Fan Experience

From 2005 – 2015, there was a 132% increase in fans watching the Super Bowl at home. This increase represents the progressive shift in sports viewership as more fans are opting to watch sporting events outside of the stadium, a move that stadiums are attempting to combat by implementing attractive, fan-interactive technologies. The University of Florida’s Sport Management program has created a detailed infographic that outlines the ways that many sports stadiums (e.g., Fenway Park & Wrigley Field) are working to meet fan’s tech interests by undergoing major upgrades to their infrastructure and amenities.
