College Football Predictions Week 4

Daddy's Hangout NCAA Football Predictions logo

Welcome to another exciting weekend of college football and it’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a month already of college football. Last week, my record was 3-2, which dropped my record to 10-6 and in the process dropping my winning percentage from 63.6% to 62.5%. It’s still not where I want to be, but my winning percentage is much better than my NFL winning percentage. This week I’ll be predicting another four games and hopefully I can turn things around since I’m pretty close to that 70% winning percentage I’m aiming for. Let’s Get Started!!!

UCLA Bruins logoArizona Wildcats logoThis is the top game of the week and it features two teams in the top 20 with both representing the Pac-12 as the 9th ranked UCLA Bruins visit the 16th ranked Arizona Wildcats. The Bruins are coming off a tough come from behind win against the BYU Cougars and with a win over the Wildcats could help them in the long run in the South division. The Wildcats have exploded out the gate averaging over 54 points a game, which includes putting up 77 points last week. The issue with the Wildcats is their defense, which I believe will be their downfall in this game so I’m going with the Bruins to win on the road.

                                                                                  Bruins Win 41-38

UtahOregon Ducks LogoThis is the other game that features two top-20 teams and they also represent the Pac-12 as the 18th ranked Utah Utes visits the 13th ranked Oregon Ducks. The Utes are hoping to win this game and keep an eye on the scoreboard for the game up above because they’re all in the South Division. Can the Utes contain the Ducks offense in Eugene? In their two wins this season, the Ducks have scored 61 points in both games and the last game was without QB Vernon Adams as he nurses a sore finger. He’s expected to play this game and will be the difference as the Ducks win a bug game at home.

                                                                                  Ducks Win 52-35

USC Trojans logoArizona State LogoWe stay in the Pac-12 as we have a couple of teams that still have playoff admirations as the 19th ranked USC Trojans face the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Trojans are coming off a heartbreaking loss at home against the Stanford Cardinal and they dropped 13 spots in the poll. Can the Trojans rebound and beat this tough Arizona State team? The Sun Devils opened the season with a tough loss to Texas A&M, which dropped them out of the rankings, but a win against the Trojans would pretty guarantee they would reenter the rankings. I think the Trojans win on the road!!

                                                                                  Trojans Win 34-27

LSU Tigers logosyracuse_logoThis is a test for the Syracuse Orange to see if they’re ready to make that leap as they try to start the season 4-0 for the first time since 1991. They host the 8th ranked LSU Tigers are coming off very impressive wins over a couple ranked SEC teams in Mississippi State and Auburn. The Tigers have a legitimate shot at winning the SEC West and make the playoffs if they can solve their QB issue. The defense of the Orange will have to play their best game to even compete against the Tigers, but in the end, LSU will be too much.

Tigers Win 38-21

There you have it, week 4 of the college football season in the books and hopefully I can get to the 70% winning percentage. What did you think about my picks? What games would you have chosen differently?
