Monday Night Raw Review 9/28/2015

Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail from Buffalo, NY. Last week was a pretty good edition of Monday Night Raw, which was the night after the Night of Champions PPV. Let’s see how things fare with the special from MSG will be live on the WWE Network being this Saturday. Let’s Get Started!!

Opening Segment: John Cena opened Monday Night Raw talking about winning the title back and issued his U.S. Open Challenge, which was answered by New Day. They came out, cut a promo and the Cena said one of them need to get in the ring. Xavier Woods was the one who challenged for the belt!!

John Cena vs. Xavier Woods: This was a pretty much between these two with Woods getting quite a bit of offense in. During the match, Kingston & Big E was kicked from ringside for interfering with Cena. In the end, Cena locked in the STF but was attacked by Big E & Kofi Kingston, but the Dudley Boyz made the save.

John Cena & The Dudley Boyz vs. New Day: It turned into a 6-man tag match and it was a pretty entertaining match. Very surprised to see the New Day pick up the win!!

MizTV with Charlotte & Becky Lynch: Things picked up when the Bellas came out as things got pretty heated with Team Bella, Charlotte & Becky Lynch. That lead to Paige coming out and after she mentioned the Bellas getting to the top because of their boyfriends a fight broke out.

Team PCB vs. Team Bellas: Pretty good tag match between the ladies and towards the end, Paige walked out on her team. Natalya confronted Paige about leaving her team then went to join them, but Paige attacked her which led to Charlotte being pinned by Nikki Bella.

Randy Orton vs. Bo Dallas: This was good because Orton got the crowd involved throughout the match as he was beating up Dallas in front of the Buffalo Bills.

Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns: This was a pretty brutal and physical match from these two. Now we also know that at the Hell in a Cell PPV, they will face each other inside the cell. My only gripe about this great, lengthy feud is that they’re fighting for nothing. It’s pretty much known that Kane will challenge Rollins for the WWE Championship, why not this match be a #1 contenders match for a shot at the title at the Survivor Series? Since I’ll be attending the Survivor Series, I’d love to see one of these guys face Rollins in the main event.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: I guess they’re still building up the Big Show to go against Brock Lesnar Saturday.

Wyatt Family vs. Primetime Players: I’m not sold on Braun Strowman!!

Neville vs. Stardust: Both of these guys deserve better. Nice to see Barrett return, but they have ruined his character.

Kane’s Evaluation: Honestly, I didn’t care too much for it.

Kevin Owens vs. Rusev: Match didn’t take place when they attacked Ryback, who was doing commentary and he was saved by Dolph Ziggler.

The Final Hype for Brock Lesnar & Big Show: They brought Heyman and he had things going until Big Show, which killed everything.

No Push Cesaro: Where’s Cesaro and why the hell isn’t he in a major feud, I mean if Kane and Big Show are intricate parts of Monday Night Raw and on PPVs, why the hell isn’t Cesaro.

Overall Rating: 4.5/10- The WWE has so much talent between their main roster and NXT, they shouldn’t be putting out half assed efforts on Monday Night Raw, Smackdown or PPVs. The opening segment was pretty good, followed by the two matches that involved Cena. The Divas shined tonight from the MizTV segment that leads to Team Bella coming out and then Paige. The potential feud between Paige/Natalya is through the roof, but I have a feeling that they’re building up Paige as a bad ass heel. While we’re talking about Divas, where the hell was Sasha Banks? Even Kurt Angle said she’s one of the most talented female wrestlers he’s ever seen, but no appearance from her.

Top 5 Happenings from Monday Night Raw:
1) Atrocious Booking
2) Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
3) John Cena/Dudleyz vs. New Day
4) No Cesaro nor Sasha Banks
5) Divas
