NFL Predictions Week 4

Daddy's Hangout NFL Predictions logo

Welcome to Week 4 of the NFL season, which means this will mark the end of the first quarter of the season. After a horrific Week 2, last week was much better, as I finished with a 4-2 record boosting my overall record to 9-11, making my winning percentage jump from 35.7% to 45%. Hopefully I can continue that trend this week as I predict 4 games and make my winning percentage go up more. Let’s Get Started!!!

Baltimore Ravens Black LogoPittsburgh Steelers logoThis is the Thursday night game as the winless Baltimore Ravens visit their rival, Pittsburgh Steelers. What is going on with the Baltimore Ravens this year? To be fair to them, they’ve faced a couple of playoff teams in the Broncos & Bengals, plus they got beat by a good, young Raiders team also. Can they rebound on the road against a very good Steelers team? As we all know, Big Ben hurt his left knee in the game last week against the Rams and will be out 4-6 weeks. Can Michael Vick step in and lead these very good Steelers in the absence of Big Ben? With a good receiving core and running game, the Steelers should be fine!!

Steelers Win 26-21

minnesota_vikings_logo_prodDenver BroncosThis is one of the late Sunday games as the Minnesota Vikings visit the Denver Broncos. The Vikings opened the season by getting man handled by the 49ers on the Monday Night game where Adrian Peterson was contained, but they have looked great ever since. They have gone on to a couple of big wins over the Chargers and Lions, but this will be their toughest test so far. The Denver Broncos have started the season 3-0, but questions remain about the health of Peyton Manning and the effectiveness of this offense. Can they contain Peterson and continue on the offensive side of the ball? I say yes and they will walk away with the W!!

Broncos Win 35-24

CowboysNew Orleans Saints LogoThis is the late Sunday game as the Dallas Cowboys visit the winless New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys are coming off a tough loss at home to the Atlanta Falcons and looking to rebound from a game they pretty much had won until late in the second half. Can Brandon Weeden continue to play well for the Cowboys? Can the Cowboys overcome all their injuries they’ve piled up? The Saints are winless entering this game and the status of QB Drew Brees is still unknown even after getting positive feedback on his shoulder this week. The Saints in the past are tough at home, but they just don’t have the weapons to beat the Cowboys.

Cowboys Win 31-24

Detroit Lions helmet logoSeattle Seahawks logoThis is the Monday Night game as the winless Detroit Lions face the Seattle Seahawks. The Lions offense seems like they’re just not clicking right now and everyone thought the defense would suffer tremendously when Suh left. Matthew Stafford is dealing with his injuries, with the Packers and Vikings playing good football, this is a must win right now for the Lions. The Seahawks started the season 0-2, then Kam Chancellor returned and the defense look great once again. The big question is, is they really back because they did play the Bears, who’s offense is horrible and decimated to injuries. This could be a pretty good game and I believe the Seahawks will win.

Seahawks Win 23-17
