College Football Predictions Week 6

Daddy's Hangout NCAA Football Predictions logo

Welcome to another exciting weekend of college football and this is Week 6 of the college football season. Last week my record was 3-2, which should’ve been 4-1 because I was telling everyone that Florida would upset Ole Miss. This week isn’t as exciting as the week prior, but I’m going with six games this week and I’ll also name my top 5 at the end. Let’s Get Started!!

California Bears logoUtah Utes logoWe head out West to the Utah as the 5th ranked Utes, who blew out Oregon on the road, faces the 23rd ranked California Bears in a big Pac-12 match-up. It was mind-boggling to see Utah put up 62 points against Oregon on the road a couple of weeks. As impressive as that was, I think the Utes defense has been equally impressive and they will give the Bears fits Saturday night in Utah. The Bears are looking for that signature win over a top ranked opponent and what better than upsetting a top 5 team on the road? The Bears offense has been great, but the defense will have their hands full against Utah. I’m going with the Utes!!

Utes Win 42-24

Northwestern logoMichigan Wolverines logoThis is a huge match-up in the Big 10 as the 13th ranked Northwestern Wildcats visits the 18th ranked Michigan Wolverines. The Wildcats are coming off a shutout win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers and one of four undefeated teams in the Big 10 conference. The Wildcats have only given up 35 points in five games thus far, but the Wolverines will be much different. The Wolverines are coming off their second consecutive shutout win this past weekend against Maryland, while scoring 59 points in the two combined games. Coach Harbaugh has brought toughness back to Ann Arbor and I think they’ll beat Northwestern.

Wolverines Win 30-21

Florida Gators logoMissouri LogoThis is a huge match-up in the SEC East as the 11th ranked Florida Gators visit the Missouri Tigers. The Gators are coming off a huge blowout win over Ole Miss last week at home, which propelled them all the way to the 11th ranking in the country. For the past couple of years, the Gators defense has been very good and now the offense is clicking on all cylinders. On the other hand, Missouri is trying to pick up the big win and still have a shot at winning the SEC East again. This should be a tough defensive game, but the Gators offense will be the difference and they will win.

Gators Win 26-21

Oklahoma State logoWest Virginia logoThis is a big match-up in the Big-12 conference as the 21st ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Cowboys come into this game undefeated and tied atop of the conference with TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma and Iowa State. They are coming off a couple of tough wins over Kansas State and Texas, but this should be their toughest game to date. The Mountaineers are coming off getting blown out by Oklahoma and hoping to rebound before their game next week against Baylor. The speed of West Virginia will be the key in this game against the Cowboys and will lead them to victory.

Mountaineers Win 34-24

University of Miami U logoFlorida State logoThis is one of college football’s greatest rivalries as the Miami Hurricanes visits the 12th ranked Florida State Seminoles. The Hurricanes are coming off a big loss last week in Cincinnati and now they have to face their biggest rivals. Miami could save their season if they walk out of Tallahassee with a victory on Saturday night and could all but knock the Seminoles out of title contention. Florida State come into this game undefeated, but they have looked less than stellar this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Will Dalvin Cook be effective in this game with his hamstring injury? Either way, I’m going with the Seminoles!!

Seminoles Win 23-21

TCU Horned Frogs logoKansas State Wildcats logoHere is another match-up in the Big-12 conference as the 2nd ranked TCU Horned Frogs visit the Kansas State Wildcats. The Horned Frogs look like the best team in the country one week, then a couple of weeks they struggled mightily. They have scored at least 50 points in their last 4 games and they’re trying to stay perfect to make a run at the national championship. The Wildcats could use this huge win because they face Oklahoma next week so the next couple of weeks will determine what kind of season they’ll have. I think the Wildcats will have their moments, but TCU will win.

Horned Frogs Win 41-24
