College Football Predictions Week 9

Daddy's Hangout NCAA Football Predictions logo

Welcome to another exciting weekend of college football and things will pick up a bit this week. Last week my record was 3-0, which bumped my record to 27-13 and in the process it boosted my winning percentage from 64.9% to 67.5%. This week I’ll be predicting four games this weekend and hopefully I can get to the 70% winning percentage goal. Let’s Get Started!!

Notre Dame Fighting Irish logoTemple Owls logoThis is the only game that features ranked teams facing each other as the 9th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish visit the undefeated 21st ranked Temple Owls. The Irish could be undefeated if it wasn’t for the two point loss at Clemson a few weeks back and if they continue winning, they still have an outside shot to make the College Football Playoffs. The Temple Owls are one of the three undefeated teams in their conference and a win over the Fighting Irish could boost the conference even more because Memphis upset Ole Miss a couple of weeks ago. I’m going with the Irish!!

Fighting Irish Win 26-21

Georgia logoFlorida Gators logoThis is a battle between two heated rivals as the Georgia Bulldog face the 11th ranked Florida Gators for control of the SEC East. The Bulldogs have struggled on the offensive side of the ball, which is why they will be starting their 3rd string QB, Faton Bauta. With a win, the Bulldogs control their own destiny to advance to the SEC Championship game in December. The Florida Gators are coming off a tough loss at LSU and they’re hoping to bounce back in a major way. Can the Florida offensive line prevent the Bulldog defense from pressuring the AB throughout the game? I’m taking the Gators in a blowout!!

Gators Win 38-17

Clemson Tigers Paw logoNorht Carolina State logoThis is the good ol’ trap game that many people talk about, because the 3rd ranked Clemson Tigers visit the N.C. State Wolfpack a week before their showdown with the Seminoles. The Tigers are coming off beating the hell out of the Miami Hurricanes a week ago when they beat the ‘Canes 58-0. Can the Tigers continue that trend against a tough Wolfpack team? The Wolfpack haven’t played well against tougher opponent this year, but that doesn’t mean that they’re just going to lay down against the Tigers either. The Wolfpack will play hard, but the Tigers are just too much for them.

Tigers Win 38-21

Stanford Cardinal logoWashington State Cougars logoThis match-up is for control of the Pac-12 North as the 8th ranked Stanford Cardinal visit the Washington State Cougars. The Cardinal has won six games in a row after they lost their opening game against Northwestern. They still have tough games against Oregon, California and Notre Dame, so if they can pull those games off then they could be looking at a playoff berth going into the conference title game. The Cougars have been looking for a statement victory for a long time, with their high octane offense this is a great time. In my opinion, I believe the Cardinal will barely prevail.

Cardinal Win 33-31
