Welcome to another exciting weekend of college football and this weekend will feature some really good games between ranked teams. Last week my good fortunes continued as my record was 4-0, which boosted my record to 31-13 and raising my winning percentage from 67.5% to 70.5%. This week I’ll be predicting five games this weekend and hopefully my good luck continues. Let’s Get Started!!
This is always one of the best games every college football season and usually the game of the year in the SEC as the 4th ranked LSU Tigers visit the 7th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. What can you say about Leonard Fournette that hasn’t been said, he’s probably the best player in the nation and my pick to win the Heisman Trophy. Can he lead the Tigers to this huge win on the road? On the other side, Alabama was thought to be eliminated when they lost to Ole Miss earlier in the season, but with a win over the Tigers they still would need help, but the playoffs still could be an option. I’m rolling with the Tide!!
Crimson Tide Win 19-17
Here is another marquee battle and this time it’s from the Big 12 conference as the 5th ranked TCU Horned Frogs visit the 12th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Horned Frogs have bounced around the top 5 for a while and with a victory over the Cowboys, the possibility of a match-up with Baylor for a playoff spot is possible. Can TCU pick up the huge win on the road? The Cowboys can spoil the big Baylor/TCU game later in the year and insert themselves in there with a huge win over the Horned Frogs. The Cowboys offense has been just as good, but I believe TCU will pull out this high scoring game.
Horned Frogs Win 51-49
This is the game of the year in the ACC as the 17th ranked Florida State visits the 3rd ranked Clemson Tigers. For years, the Seminoles have been the top dog in the ACC and this year they’ve been hampered by injuries and there are still questions about the health of Everett Golston. To be honest, Sean McGuire could be the better option because he opens up the offense, which would be good for Cook. The Tigers are legitimate contenders for the national championship with the play of their defense and DeShaun Watson has been awesome. It’s hard to pick against Clemson at home and I’m not!!
Tigers Win 34-24
This is another pretty good match-up as the 8th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish visit the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Fighting Irish are going on the road to face a tough foe once again and it seems like this is the norm for them. The Irish still have a chance to make the playoffs with a win, then followed by a couple of easy games and then at Stanford to close out the season. Pittsburgh still has a chance to come out of the Coastal Division of the ACC with some help and a win over the Fighting Irish could do wonders for their confidence. I’m going with the Irish to win another tough road game.
Fighting Irish Win 27-17
This is the huge in-state battle on Tobacco Road as the Duke Blue Devils visit the 21st ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. The Duke Blue Devils have to be reeling because of their lost to the Miami Hurricanes on the final play of the game. If it wasn’t for the mistakes of the officials, the Blue Devils would still be ranked and be undefeated in the conference. Will that hurt them in the long run? The Tar Heels are looking to make a statement against the Blue Devils and possibly solidify their spot in the Coastal Division and earn a spot in the ACC title game. I’m going with the Blue Devils to win!!
Blue Devils Win 26-24
