NFL Predictions Week 10

Daddy's Hangout NFL Predictions logo

Welcome to Week 10 of this very exciting NFL season and now it’s officially the 2nd half of the season. Last week everything started out great, everything seemed promising and then I lost the final four games making my record 3-4. My string of bad luck has now dropped my record to 30-23 and in the process my overall winning percentage dipped from 58.7% to 56.6. This week I’ll be predicting five games and hopefully I can walk out with a winning record, so I’m not focusing on my overall winning percentage, just trying to win as many games possible. Let’s Get Started!!

Buffalo Bills Helmet logoNew York Jets logoThis is the Thursday night game and it features a couple of AFC East rivals as Rex Ryan return to New York with the Buffalo Bills facing the New York Jets. The Buffalo Bills are coming off an impressive win last week where their rushing game shined and Tyrod Taylor had the offense looking impressive in his return. This game has playoff implications with the Jets having the first Wild Card spot. The Jets are coming off a hard fought win last week also, but it seems like their once dominant defense is starting to fizzle along the way. The Jets will play with a chip on their shoulders and pull off the win.

Jets Win 29-24

minnesota_vikings_logo_prodOakland Raider logoHere’s a battle between a couple of teams that’s had their fair share of bad luck over the past years, but things are looking great as the Minnesota Vikings visit the Oakland Raiders. The Vikings are 6-2, with a four game winning streak, but we don’t know if Bridgewater will play since he’s suffered a concussion last week and this is the start of a tough second half of the season for the Vikings. The Raiders are one of the bright, young teams in the league and they’re coming off a tough loss in Pittsburgh last week, but they were still impressive and I believe they will come out on top in this one.

Raiders Win 30-20

New England Patriots logoNew York Giants LogoThis has got to be the match-up of the week especially when you consider the history between these two teams as the New England Patriots visit the New York Giants. The Patriots come into this game with a 8-0 record and I’ll be honest, they look pretty damn unstoppable because Tom Brady is the league MVP so far and the defense has played great. The Giants are looking to remain in the first place in their division and it seemed like the return of Jason Pierre-Paul last week rejuvenated the defense. Can the Giants pull off the huge upset over the Pats? It’ll be a really close game, but the Pats will pull it out!!

Patriots Win 31-27

Arizona Cardinals logoSeattle Seahawks logoThis is the Sunday night game between a couple of NFC West rivals as the Arizona Cardinals visit the Seattle Seahawks. The Cardinals currently hold a two game lead over the defending NFC champions and a win this week would be huge for them. The Cardinals offense rank in the top 10 in all the major categories on offense and they’re giving up 19 points a game on defense. The Seahawks have had an up-and-down season so far and they’re riding a two game winning streak with the defense giving up a total of 15 points in those two games combined. The Seahawks defense will come up huge and lead them to the win.

Seahawks Win 22-17

Houston Texans LogoCincinnati Bengals helmet logoLast but not least, we have the Monday Night game as the Houston Texans visit the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals. The Texans are in the midst of a mediocre season, but they sit only a half game out of first place behind the Colts and with Andrew Luck being out for over a month, they have an outside shot at winning the division. Can the Texans somehow pull off this huge upset? The Bengals remain one of the three teams in the league that’s undefeated and this could be a trap game for Cincinnati with them playing in Arizona next Sunday night. I’m still thinking the Bengals will remain undefeated after this game.

Bengals Win 38-17
