NFL Predictions for Wild Card Weekend 2016

NFL Wild Card

Welcome to the first round of the NFL Playoffs aka Wild Card Weekend between four teams with hopes of making that run to the Super Bowl. The final weekend of the season ended with a few surprises like the Vikings beating the Packers to win the NFC North, while the Jets lost to the Bills to squander their playoff hopes as the Steelers beat the Browns to earn the final spot in the AFC. My record last week was 6-4, which makes my overall record 60-45 and my winning percentage jumps from 56.8% to 57.1%. Let’s Get Started!!!

Kansas City Chiefs NFL logoHouston Texans Logo NFLThis is the first game of the Wild Card weekend as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Houston Texans. The Chiefs are probably the hottest team coming into the playoffs as they’re riding a 10 game winning streak. The Chiefs started the season 1-5 and losing one of the best running backs in the league, it seems like their season was lost, but with a tough defense and efficient offense here they are. The Texans started the season 1-4 and it seems like their season was lost, but the defense stepped up and they ended up winning their division. I believe the Chiefs run will continue and they’ll win this game.

Chiefs Win 23-14

Pittsburgh Steelers logo NFLCincinnati Bengals helmet logoThe second Wild Card game Saturday will be a match-up of AFC North rivals as the Pittsburgh Steelers face the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers barely got into the playoffs thanks to the Buffalo Bills beating the New York Jets in the final game. The Steelers split the two meetings this season with both teams picking up the wins on the road and the Steelers have played great in Cincinnati the past 10 years. The big news from Bengals camp is Andy Dalton will not be cleared to play this game and A.J. McCarron will again get the start. Can McCarron lead the Bengals to the win over Pittsburgh? I say YES!!!

Bengals Win 29-27

Seattle Seahawks NFL logoMinnesota Vikings NFL logoThis is the first game being played on Sunday as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Minnesota Vikings in a rematch from earlier in the season. The Seahawks are one of the hottest teams in the league with the stout defense and the offense playing lights out!! Seattle blew out the Vikings earlier in the season in Minnesota by 31 points; will the chilly weather be a factor in this game? The Minnesota Vikings come into this game on a high note after beating the Packers to win the division. Can the Vikings avenge their loss from earlier this season? I’m going with the Seattle in this game.

Seahawks Win 31-20

Green Bay Packers NFL logoWashingtonRedskins NFL logoThe final game of Wild Card weekend will see the Green Bay Packers visit the Washington Redskins. The Packers are coming into this game playing some of their worse football of the season. Green Bay lost their chance to host a playoff game when they lost last week to the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers finished the season losing their final two games and the offensive line playing horribly. Washington and Kirk Cousins have been playing lights out while winning their final four games to win the division. Can Redskins continue their great play at home? I’m going with them to beat the Packers!!

Redskins Win 30-20
