Welcome to College Football National Championship game between the undefeated Clemson Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. It’s hard to believe that this is the final game of the college football season, but it’s been a great year. My last post garnered me a 2-2 record, making my overall record 75-37 and my bowl record 26-14. My winning percentage dips from 67.6% down to 67%. Let’s see how I think this game will turn out!!

Clemson Tigers Paw logoAlabama Logo CollegeWe have the top ranked team in the country in Clemson facing the 2nd ranked Alabama Crimson Tide for the national championship. The Tigers advanced to the title game by beating North Carolina in the ACC title game and Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, which was the semifinal game. Despite being undefeated, the Tigers have basically been defeated in everyone’s eyes because the Tide is such heavy favorites. DeShaun Watson is probably the best QB in college, but he’ll have to have a special game to beat this Crimson Tide defense. Can he lead the Tigers to the national championship? On the other side of the ball we have the Alabama Crimson Tide, who advanced to the championship game by beating Florida in the SEC Championship and Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl. On offense, they’re lead by Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, but against the Spartans the offense was led by a great game from QB Jake Coker. If you caught the game against the Spartans then you know the defense is arguably the best in the country, with a front four that are pretty much NFL ready. This game could go either way because the defense of Clemson is really good also, but I think the availability and health of Shaq Lawson will be the key in this match-up, but I’m going with Alabama to pick up the win.

Crimson Tide Win 34-24
