Welcome to the Fastlane PPV, which is the final PPV before WrestleMania? Coming into the PPV, there really weren’t any major rumors of anyone showing up or something major happening so this should be a straight forward PPV. Let’s see how things turned out!!
This match came about when Banks said she wanted to leave Team B.A.D and concentrate on her career and eventually was attacked by her former teammates, but Becky Lynch made the save. They have been feuding with each other ever since with Team B.A.D attacking both a couple of times. As far as the match, this was really good and the ladies busted their asses in the match. Sasha and Becky did their thing, but Naomi really is one of the more underrated divas and she did her thing in the match also. In the end, Lynch & Banks hit their signature moves on Naomi & Tamina for the win. Winners: Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks
Match Rating: 3/5
These two guys have been feuding for about the last month with some pretty impressive matches on Monday Night Raw. After Owens won the title in the Fatal Five-Way match, Ziggler challenged him for the Intercontinental title at this PPV. Coming into the PPV, I thought this was going to be one of the better matches and it delivered in a huge way. This match was just as good as any of their prior matches with some great spots and Owens being his usual heel self always making the match so much more. After a very competitive match, Owens hit the pop-up powerbomb on Ziggler for the win. Winner and Still Intercontinental Champ: Kevin Owens
Match Rating: 3.75/5
I really wasn’t feeling this feud from the start when the Wyatts basically took out Big Show, Kane & Ryback separately and I don’t like it now. I’m going to keep it short & sweet, I didn’t like the match, outcome or the direction of the Wyatt Family. Winners: Big Show, Kane & Ryback
Match Rating: 1.5/5
This match came about when Brie scored an upset win over Charlotte over a few weeks ago on Monday Night Raw. With the immediate retirement of her husband, Daniel Bryan it’s been rumored that Brie will retire soon to start their family. My hopes were really high for this match, but unfortunately this match just fell flat and in the end, Charlotte reversed the Yes Lock into the Figure Eight for the win. Winner and Still Divas Champ: Charlotte
Match Rating: 2/5
This feud has been one of the more exciting ones that have been going on in the WWE right now. This is their third match with both guys winning a match prior to this match. This was, let me say phenomenal between these two because they put on a clinic. The match had plenty of back & forth action with both guys hitting their signature move and in the end, Styles applied the Calf Crusher for the win. The match of the night at the Fastlane PPV. Winner: A.J. Styles
Match Rating: 4/5
This match was to see who will face Triple H in the main event for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. At the beginning of the match, Brock Lesnar dominated both guys with his brute strength and suplexes everywhere. Throughout the match, there were some really good spots and one being where Ambrose & Reigns double powerbombed through both announce tables. In the end, Lesnar had Reigns in his submission hold and was about to tap, but Ambrose came in with a steel chair and went to work on Brock. Roman Reigns picked up the win by spearing Ambrose. Winner: Roman Reigns
Match Rating: 3.5/5
Overall Rating: 6/10- This PPV was better than expected with some pretty cool matches. The best matches of the night went to Styles/Jericho, followed by the Owens/Ziggler, the main event and the divas tag match.
