Monday Night Raw Review for 3/27 from Brooklyn

Monday Night Raw Brooklyn

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as it took place in Brooklyn. This is the final Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania and hopefully they create a little more intrigue before the big event. Last week, I didn’t get the chance to write a review, but I must say that match between Kevin Owens and A.J. Styles was………….PHENOMENAL!!! Let’s see how things turned out on Monday Night Raw!!

Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw started with the Undertaker coming to the ring to cut a promo, but he was interrupted by Shane McMahon. After going at each other, Shane made his way to the ring and told Undertaker’s legacy died two years ago @ WrestleMania. Undertaker said Shane is like Vince and he’s also Vince’s bitch, then Shane attacked Undertaker, but was beaten down for it. Undertaker was about to hit the Last Ride on Shane, but it was reversed and Shane started to get the best of Undertaker, even hitting him with a couple of monitors. Shane went back into the ring and leaped off the top rope onto Undertaker and he left ‘Taker busted open. WOW!!! Great segment!! As Shane was leaving, the Undertaker rose up as Shane left!!

Triple H & Stephanie Promo: Triple H can hype a match with a paper bag; he’s that damn good on the mic. He was interrupted by Roman Reigns and eventually he got the best of Triple H and the crowd is still booing him. I’m a huge fan of Reigns and I don’t understand it!!!

Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch: This was a pretty good match between these two and I’m looking forward to the triple threat match for the Divas title @ WrestleMania.

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio: New Day had the crowd in their hand while they were cutting a promo before the match. The match itself was pretty good and after the match, Coach from ESPN announced that ESPN will cover WrestleMania all week.

Joan Lunden Accepting Warrior Award: Her story and journey with her bout with cancer is something has talked about in depth through various outlets. Congratulations to her!!

Paul Heyman/Brock Lesnar: Paul Heyman, like Triple H can cut a promo about someone like Lesnar wrestling a paper bag and you’d be anxious for the match. While Heyman was delivering another great promo, Ambrose interrupted and picked up a bunch of weapons, loaded then in a wagon and just left, while ignoring Lesnar the entire time.

Snoop Dogg Being Inducted into the Hall of Fame: Big congrats to Snoop, this is a huge honor knowing he’s always been a big fan of the WWE.

Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler & Sin Cara vs. Kevin Owens, The Miz & Stardust: This was a pretty good 6-man match and they gave them a lot of time. I’m actually looking forward to the ladder match this coming Sunday.

Chris Jericho vs. Zack Ryder: The match wasn’t all that, but Ryder got the upset win over Jericho because Styles had the crowd chanting Y2Jackass. It’s great to see another Jericho/Styles match as Y2J accepted Styles challenge for a match @ WrestleMania.

Kane & Big Show vs. Social Outcasts: Ehhhh!!!!!

Emma vs. Paige: I really wish they give Emma a chance and this was basically a way to hype the 10-diva tag match @ WrestleMania. In the end, Eva Marie made the save for Paige’s team, but it seems like they didn’t want it.

Kalisto vs. Konnor: No comment.

Final Segment: It just didn’t do anything for me with Triple H & Roman Reigns going at it and damn near the entire locker room having to separate them.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10- This wasn’t the greatest go-home show, but it helped with increasing the anticipation of the Undertaker/Shane, I-C title ladder match and Ambrose/Lesnar matches. Below are my top 5 moments of Monday Night Raw and also the list of WrestleMania matches.
