Monday Night Raw Review from London

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw with it taking place at the O2 Arena in the United Kingdom. Last week was another great edition of Monday Night Raw as it has been for the past few weeks. With so much going on and with the Payback PPV in a couple of weeks, let’s see what took place on this edition of Monday Night Raw.

Opening Segment: We kicked off Monday Night Raw with Dean Ambrose hosting the Ambrose Asylum and his guest is Shane McMahon. Shane said he’s here to for the people, plus he want to push people like A.J. Styles, Sami Zayn and Sasha Banks. That brought Kevin Owens out, then Sami Zayn and he was followed by Chris Jericho. Eventually it leads to a brawl between Zayn, Owens, Ambrose and Jericho, and then Shane made matches between Owens/Ambrose and Jericho/Zayn.

Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn: This was a pretty good match as expected and with Jericho resorting to cheating to beat Zayn, it doesn’t hurt Zayn.

Enzo & Big Cass vs. Dudley Boyz: This was a pretty entertaining match-up between these teams and despite Enzo & Cass winning I’m expecting to see more between these teams. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dudleyz cost them their match @ the PPV.

Roman Reigns/A.J. Styles Segment: Reigns came out to a chorus of boos and pretty much said that he’s willing to punch anyone in the mouth who’s trying to take the title from him. After they cut promos on each other, Styles left and from behind Reigns was jumped by Gallows and Anderson while Styles looked on in disbelief.

Cesaro & New Day vs. Miz & League of Nations: This match was full of action from everyone in this match and in the end, Cesaro picked up the win for his team by hitting the Neutralizer on Sheamus for the win.

Natalya, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch & Paige vs. Charlotte, Naomi, Tamina & Summer Rae: This was a pretty good match-up also, but this all about Natalya seeing she had announced that Hall-Of-Famer and her uncle, Bret Hart in her corner at the Payback PPV.

Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens: This was a phenomenal match-up between these two as they pulled out all the stops. Everything from Owens hitting the frog splash from the apron to the floor, Ambrose hitting the flying elbow and many other moves. Really good match and Jericho hit the CodeBreaker out of nowhere on Ambrose after the match!!

Baron Corbin vs. Fandango: I understand Corbin will have to work his way up, but I think this dude has mad potential. Ziggler tried to attack Corbin from behind because Corbin went after Dolph, but he was laid out with the End of Days on the outside.

MizTV with Cesaro: This went on too long and Miz gave us some awful acting, but I’m looking forward to the match between Cesaro and Miz. Cesaro quoted the late, great Roddy Piper saying he came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass & he’s all out of bubble gum. Miz said he couldn’t fight him because Cesaro got a match with Rusev, but Cesaro said he talked to Shane and said it’s the League of Nations & Miz against him and New Day.

Vaudevillians vs. Usos: It’s nice to see the Vaudevillians advance to face Enzo & Cass in the final of the tournament at the Payback PPV, but they need to find a way to connect with the crowd. I’m thinking the Dudley Boyz will cost Enzo & Big Cass the match @ the PPV.

Apollo Crews vs. Heath Slater: I think Crews could be a huge star, but they need to get him a meaningful feud real quick because fighting the Social Outcasts won’t do any good for him.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10- This was another good edition of Monday Night Raw, not as good as the previous ones though. My only gripes were the squashes by Corbin and Crews, but I understand and I’m hoping the Vaudevillians don’t eventually get the same treatment as the Ascension. The MizTV wasn’t that bad until he tried his hand at acting!!
