Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as it took place in OMAHA (In My Peyton Manning Voice). With less than two weeks to go before the Extreme Rules PPV and hopefully Monday Night Raw continues to flourish like it did last week. Hopefully we get more matches for the PPV and build for the matches that has already been announced, so let’s get started!!
Good
Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw started with Chris Jericho coming to the ring for the Highlight Reel. After telling the fans to shut up, he started ripping Ambrose and his guest was Mitch, the plant that was used for the Ambrose Asylum. After ripping Ambrose some more, Big Cass came to the ring to confront Jericho and they cut promos on each other. After running Jericho off, he tried to come back to the ring, but was met with a boot to the face.
Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler: This was a pretty exciting match between these two as expected and since Corbin was in NXT, I’ve been a huge fan of his and still think he’s got a bright future in the WWE.
Paige vs. Charlotte: This was a really good match-up between these two and I just wish they would find a way to push Paige. As far as the match, it was good and things picked up when Flair came down to the ring after being banned from ringside, but Shane came out and had security get rid of him. While that was happening, Paige rolled up Charlotte for the win.
Miz vs. Sami Zayn: This match was really and in the end, Zayn picked up the win with the Helluva Kick. It seems like the fans are starting to get behind Zayn more week after week.
Roman Reigns & Usos vs. A.J. Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson: The match was pretty exciting, plus the crowd was really into it. It came down to Styles & Reigns and they beat the hell out of each other and when Reigns was about to powerbomb Styles on the announce table, Anderson & Gallows attacked Reigns. Afterwards, the Usos came to fight them off and eventually Reigns speared Gallows & Anderson, but Styles got the best out of Reigns and they eventually had a standoff. Great segment, just hate seeing Anderson & Gallows being pinned already!!
Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho: the match never happened because Ambrose attacked & took the jacket of Jericho then wore it to the ring. Ambrose proceeded to tear apart the jacket & Jericho ran to the ring where Ambrose beat up Jericho, but had his eyes raked and started to leave with his jacket, but he was met by Big Cass. He slapped Big Cass, then Cass threw him into the barricade & then into the ring where he was met with Dirty Deeds from Ambrose. Afterwards, Ambrose started to cut the jacket & rip it more before leaving the ring to close out the show.
Bad
R-Truth vs. Fandango: No comment!!
Sin Cara vs. Rusev: I was hoping they were going to make him a monster and go on an undefeated streak, but Rusev was pinned by Sin Cara even though it took a distraction.
Kevin Owens vs. Zack Ryder: We knew who walk away with this win before it started, but I still wish they would do something with Zack Ryder.
New Day vs. Dudley Boyz: The match wasn’t that good, but the Vaudevillians attacked New Day costing them the match in the process.
Overall Rating: 6/10- This edition of Monday Night Raw had its moments, but it wasn’t as great as the previous editions. The things I wasn’t feeling was the Truth/Fandango, Cara/Rusev, Owens/Ryder nor the New Day-Dudley Boyz match.
