Raising Hell from Run DMC Turns 30

One of the best hip hop groups of all-time, Run DMC released their 2nd album Raising Hell thirty years ago today. It’s crazy I was only 8-years-old when the album dropped and being someone who’s been a fan of music since I can remember, this album was one of my favorite as a kid. The track that got the attention of many when the album dropped was My Adidas, which lead to Adidas sales go through the roof. While that track broke many barriers with corporate America, their next single, Walk This Way made waves throughout hip hop and rock-n-roll. The track featured Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, which is a group that I actually love and have enjoyed their music over the years. The Raising Hell album has received numerous accolades over the years and for me, it still gets much play in the CD player, yes I still collect CDs!! The album went on to sell over three million albums and cemented the group to legendary status. Like I say about most of the albums I pay homage to, this should be in your collection if you’re a hip hop head and it can be purchased here. Below are the videos for My Adidas and Walk this Way followed by the track listing.
