My wife would tell you that from August until February, our marriage is on hold because on the weekends it’s all about football. Since I work the night shift, I don’t get to watch games on Thursday and Monday nights, but Saturdays and Sundays I’m in front of the TV. Since most of my friends live out of town, I usually watch the games by myself in the man cave with my favorite team visors and my good-luck lanyards.

This past weekend, my Florida State Seminoles, who were ranked 2nd, played against the 10th ranked Louisville Cardinals. The game started at noon, so I knocked-out everything on my to-do list and ran all my errands so I could watch the game. Normally, Florida State has a slow start and ends up winning the game in the second half. Let’s just say that this week was very different because Louisville beat the brakes off of us to the point that I was speechless.
Monday night was much better for me. My college team is the Florida State Seminoles, but my NFL team is the Philadelphia Eagles. As a matter of fact, they’re my favorite team of any sport. Even though I was at work on Monday night, I still kept up with the game. The Eagles had to visit the Chicago Bears with the hopes of going 2-0 on the season, and doing so with a rookie QB, Carson Wentz. Our defense was dominant at times, and our offense looked great too. In the end, we pulled off the win and everyone at work got to see how happy I was.
