Daddy’s Hangout College Football Predictions for Week 5

Daddy's Hangout NCAA Football Predictions logo

Welcome to the 5th week of the college football season and first weekend of the fall. Last week was another exciting weekend of action and surprisingly my record 6-1 with my only loss was the Spartans game. My overall record jumps to 16-9 and my winning percentage jumps from 55.6% up to 64%. We have quite a few good games this weekend that features four games between teams in the top 25. The big match-up features the 3rd ranked Louisville Cardinal visiting the 5th ranked Clemson Tigers. As far as this weekend, I’ll be predicting a total of five games with the hopes of getting closer to the 70% winning percentage.

Let’s get started with Daddy’s Hangout College Football Predictions for week 5 of the season.

Stanford NCAA College Football logoWashington Huskies logoWe head to the Pac-12 conference in a battle between top-10 teams on a Friday night. The 7th ranked Stanford Cardinal visit the 10th ranked Washington Huskies as they battle for the North division lead. Last week, the Cardinal barely escapes the Rose Bowl with a win over the UCLA Bruins. If Stanford were to beat the Huskies, they could run the table into the Pac-12 championship. On the other hand, Washington has a couple more tough games on their schedule, but they’re the favorite to win those match-ups. The winner of this one will reach the conference title game and I’m going with Stanford.

Stanford Win 26-24

Louisville College logoClemson Tigers Paw logo CollegeIf you’re looking for the biggest game of the weekend, well here it goes. The 3rd ranked Louisville Cardinal visit the 5th ranked Clemson Tigers on Saturday night which could be the match-up for the ACC Championship. We all have heard about the story of Lamar Jackson and him catapulting to the forefront of the Heisman race. Can the Cardinal beat Clemson on Saturday night to pick up the win? The Clemson Tigers are hoping to get back to the playoffs this year and this will be their toughest task. Can DeShaun Watson play the perfect game and lead his team to victory? I’m going with Clemson to win this game.

Clemson Win 41-38

Wisconsin College logo NCAAMichigan Wolverines logoWe continue the weekend with another game between two top-10 teams from the Big 10 conference. The 8th ranked Wisconsin Badgers visit the 4th ranked Michigan Wolverines in the big house in a huge match-up. The Badgers have been one of the most impressive teams thus far with wins over LSU and Michigan State. Can the Badgers pull off the upset in Michigan this weekend? The Wolverines is facing their stiffest competition thus far and they’re high powered offense will be tested by the Badger defense. Can Michigan use their home field advantage against Wisconsin? I’m going with the Wolverines in a close one.

Michigan Win 27-17

Tennessee Volunteers logoGeorgia College Football logo NCAAThe final match-up between top-25 teams occur when the 11th ranked Tennessee Volunteers visit the 25th ranked Georgia Bulldogs. The Tennessee Volunteers are coming off an impressive win over Florida, ending an 11-game losing streak.  Will Tennessee overlook the Bulldogs because they travel to play A&M next week and the big game at home against Bama the following week? The Georgia Bulldogs need some serious redemption after being blow out 45-14 last week against Ole Miss. To make matter worse, they’ll be without Nick Chubb as he’s still nursing an ankle injury. I’m going with the Volunteers to win this game.

Tennessee Win 37-24

North Carolina logo CollegeFlorida State logo NCAA CollegeThis is a match-up between two ACC hopefuls as North Carolina visits 12th ranked Florida State. The Tar Heels have won three games in a row after losing their opener against Georgia. The Tar Heels have a good shot to advance to another ACC title game this year because they don’t have FSU, Clemson or Louisville. Can North Carolina pull off the upset on the road this weekend? The Seminoles still have hopes of winning the Atlantic division of the ACC, but they’ll need help. Florida State looked great last week on the offensive side, but the defense still look bad. The Seminoles are highly favored and I think they’ll win a close one.

Florida State Win 45-35
