Daddy’s Hangout NFL Predictions for the 13th Week

NFL

Welcome to the 13th week of the NFL season, which baffles me how fast the season has gone by? Last week my record was 3-4, which dropped my overall record to 42-36 in the process. It’s crazy how I predicted all the games on Thanksgiving correctly, but lost the remaining four. My winning percentage dropped from 54.9% to 53.8%. This week I’ll be predicting a total of 10 games, which is the most I’ve done in one week. Let’s get started!!

Dallas Cowboys Star Logo NFLMinnesota Vikings NFL logoWe started the week off with the Thursday night game. The Dallas Cowboys visit the Minnesota Vikings with the hopes of creating more separation in the NFC. Dallas has been the talk of the NFL all season with their 10-1 record. They are on a 10-game winning streak and widely viewed as the best team in the entire league. Can Dak and Ezekiel conquer this tough Vikings defense? The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a tough loss against division rival, Detroit. The Vikings remain a game behind the Lions and a game in front of the Packers in their division. The Vikings from four can match-up with Dallas and I think they’ll upset Dallas at home.

Minnesota Win 27-24

Kansas City Chiefs NFL logoAtlanta Falcons NFL logoThis should be a really good game as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Atlanta Falcons. Kansas City if coming off a tough road OT victory against Denver last week, will that carry over into this game? The Chiefs are viewed as the sleeper pick in the AFC to possibly make a Super Bowl run this season. Can the talented secondary of Kansas City stop the Atlanta WRs? The Falcons played their most complete game last week after their bye week against Arizona. Atlanta’s not only playing for the division title, but they have to be eyeing a possible first round bye in the playoffs. In the end, I think the Chiefs will start out slow, but come back and upset the Falcons.

Kansas City Win 25-23

Houston Texans Logo NFLGreen Bay Packers NFL logoThis is a battle between a pair of teams that’s fighting for their playoff lives. The Houston Texans visit the Green Bay Packers as both teams really need a win. Houston comes into this game on a two game losing streak. The Texans currently hold a half game lead over the Titans and a one game lead over the Colts. Houston still has to visit Tennessee in their final game and Indianapolis next week. Green Bay ended their 4-game losing streak last week against the Eagles and they’re hoping to make a playoff run as a result. I’ve said many times that I think Rodgers is the best QB in the league and he’ll lead the Packers to the win.

Green Bay Win 31-21

Miami Dolphins Helmet logoBaltimore Ravens Black LogoThis is a match-up with playoff implications as Miami visits the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins come into this game as one of the hottest teams in the league as they’re on a 6-game winning streak. Miami are in the midst of battling for a Wild Card spot, but they’re also only two games behind the Patriots for the division lead. Can the Dolphins continue to play at a high level on the road against Baltimore? The Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the division lead, but they need to continue to win as they meet again on Christmas Day in Pittsburgh. I think the Ravens take care of business at home and beat the Dolphins.

Baltimore Win 24-17

Buffalo Bills Helmet logoOakland Raider logoIn this match-up we have the Buffalo Bills traveling to Oakland and face the Raiders. Buffalo have crept back into the playoff conversation after winning their last two games. The big question for the Bills has to be the health of Sammy Watkins and how much he’ll play. Can LeSean McCoy continue to carry this offense and lead them to the playoffs? The Oakland Raiders are coming off a crazy win against Carolina as Derek Carr dislocated his finger in the 3rd quarter. The Raiders are tied with the Patriots for the best record in the AFC, but they hold a game lead over the Chiefs in the division. I think Oakland continue their winning ways and beat Buffalo.

Oakland Win 34-30

New York Giants Logo NFLPittsburgh Steelers NFL logo NFLWe have a battle between two of the most prolific franchises in the NFL. The New York Giants will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Sunday evening game. New York has quietly won six games in a row and still has their eyes on the NFC East title. The Giants spent a lot of money on their defense in the offseason and it’s paying off. Can the Giants make it seven in a row? Pittsburgh come into this game tied with the Ravens for the division lead, so they need to win as much as possible. This is a battle between two of the top WRs, plus Big Ben and Eli who came from the same draft class. Can the Steelers make it three wins in a row? I’m going with the Giants to win their seventh in a row as they look at the Cowboys next week.

New York Win 26-24

WashingtonRedskins NFL logoArizona Cardinals logo NFLWe have the Washington Redskins visiting the Arizona Cardinals. With the division out of their hands, the Redskins are focusing on getting one of those Wild Card spots. Last week, Dallas ended their 2-game winning streak on Thanksgiving. Washington still has one of the best offenses in the league, but they’ll be without TE Jordan Reed for this game. Can they rebound from their loss? The Arizona Cardinals are coming of an embarrassing loss in Atlanta last week and possibly ended their playoff chances. For some odd reason, I think the Cardinals will find a way to win this one.

Arizona Win 34-31

Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL logo NFLSan Diego Chargers NFL LogoWe head out to the West Coast as Tampa Bay take on the San Diego Chargers. The Buccaneers are coming off a huge upset over the Seahawks last week. Tampa Bay is in a midst of an up and down season, but they’re only a game behind Atlanta for the division lead. It seems like the defense for Tampa Bay has stepped as they could make a run into the playoffs. The Chargers are one of the hardest teams to play and Philip Rivers is one of the most underrated QBs ever. Could the Chargers run the table and somehow get into the playoffs? I don’t know about the playoffs, but I think they’ll beat Tampa Bay.

San Diego Win 30-20

Seattle Seahawks NFL logoWe have the Sunday night game as the Carolina Panthers travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. The Panthers terrible season continued last week as they pretty much gave the game to the Raiders. With the Panthers out of playoff consideration, they could play spoiler against Seattle. Can Newton lead Carolina to the huge upset against the Seahawks? Seattle is coming off a tough loss against Tampa Bay where they only scored five points. The Seahawks seem to remember when Cam dissed them for throwing the 12th man flag last year. Seattle should rebound and beat the Panthers.

Seattle Win 26-16

Indianapolis Colts logo NFLNew York Jets logo NFLWe have the Monday night game as the Indianapolis Colts visit the New York Jets. The Colts were without Andrew Luck last week because he was in concussion protocol, but should play. Indianapolis still has their eyes on the AFC North title as they’re a game behind the Texans. It seems like the Colts are starting to get healthy, but T.Y. Hilton is dealing with a back injury. The New York Jets have nothing to play for, but they could become a team that spoils other teams. With this being a Monday night game, I think the Jets show up and upset the Colts.

New York Win 30-21
