Kanye West Graduation Released 10 Years Ago Today

Kanye West Graduation

Kanye West is one of the most controversial artists of all-time. Before he became Yeezus, he had put out some of the best albums you’ll ever hear. I’ve always said that, the Kanye West he became when he became Yeezus I never liked. College Dropout, Late Registration and Graduation are the albums I absolutely love that Kanye put out. It’s hard to believe that his Graduation album was released 10 years ago today. If you all remember, Kanye West went up against 50 Cent to see who would sell the most as 50 dropped his Curtis album. For this album, Kanye dropped his first single, Can’t Tell Me Nothing about 4 months before the album dropped. He released a second single, Stronger about a month and a half before this release. Good Life, his 3rd single featuring T-Pain dropped a few weeks after the album came out.

Graduation isn’t as good as College Dropout or Late Registration, but it’s a dope album. To be honest, it’s hard to live up to those two albums as they were damn near perfect. My favorite joints off the album are Good Morning, Good Life, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Flashing Lights and Big Brother. My Music Monday is the entire Graduation album from Kanye and just to let you know, he did outsell 50 that opening week. Below you can listen to the album on Spotify if you haven’t before.
