First of all, thank God it’s Friday as we have finally reached the weekend. Remember to set your clock back an hour on Saturday night as the time goes back. On Wednesday, my record was 2-2 which lowered my overall record to 21-10. In the process, my winning percentage dropped from 70.4 to 67.7%. The Orlando Magic are continuing their surprise season after traveling to Memphis to upset the veteran Grizzlies. Speaking of surprises, the Washington Wizards continue to be in their slum after losing to the Phoenix Suns at home. On Thursday night, San Antonio lost their fourth game in a row after being blown out by the Warriors. We also saw Damian Lillard nail a 3-pointer to beat the Los Angeles Lakers. For this one, I’ll be predicting 3 games with the hopes of getting back to my 70% winning percentage. Let’s Get Started!!
We start things off in Detroit as the Pistons host the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are on a two-game losing streak after losses to the Thunder and Hornets. Giannis is averaging 31,10 and 5 but I’m sure he can’t keep this up all season. He needs help, but Khris Middleton could be what he need as he put up 43 points against the Hornets. Sooner or later, Milwaukee have to correct their mistakes and get things back going in the right direction. Detroit just had their three-game winning after losing to the Lakers. Despite the loss, they had a very successful West Coast swing as they beat the Timberwolves, Clippers and Warriors. Can the Bucks beat Detroit and possibly get a share of first place? I’m going with Milwaukee to pick up the win.
Milwaukee Win 105-103
We stay in the East as the Philadelphia 76ers hosts the first-place Indiana Pacers. After dropping four out of their first five games, Philadelphia have won three games in a row. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are playing like many thought that they would be doing. Embiid has been dominating in the middle and sometimes on the perimeter, while Simmons is a triple-double threat every night. Can they make it four wins in a row? The Indiana Pacers are one of the surprising teams in the league as many thought they would be suffering after losing Paul George. It seems like the change of scenery has helped Victor Oladipo as he’s averaging almost 24 points a game. I’m going with the 76ers to win this one.
Philadelphia Win 112-107
We stay in the East once again as the Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Washington to face the Wizards. Cleveland is in the midst of a 4-game losing streaks with losses to the Nets and Knicks. They have lost their last three games by an average of 19 points, which is crazy. When it comes to playing in Washington, Lebron James has always played great in there and had some great performances. Can the Cavaliers end their losing streak against the Wizards? Speaking of losing, Washington have had their share of woes also and it seems like theirs come from team chemistry. They have lost three of their last four games coming into this game themselves. I’m picking the Cavs to win this big game on the road on ESPN.
Cleveland Win 117-115
The final game of the night for me will have the Boston Celtics travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. The Celtics are riding a 6-game winning streak after dropping their first two games of the season. It seems like Marcus Morris will make his season debut for the Celtics in this game. Boston has been getting things done by a total team effort lead by Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Jayson Tatum. Can they make it seven games in a row? Oklahoma City is riding a two-game winning streak as they still trying to figure things out. They are averaging a combined 62 points and Steven Adams has been playing great with them also. Will the Thunder end the Celtics losing streak? I’m going with the Thunder to end the streak and continue theirs.
Oklahoma City Win 107-103
