Welcome to Week 11 of the NFL season as we’re a week away from Thanksgiving. Last week my record was 4-2, which raised my overall record to 40-31. My overall record jumped to 40-31 and it raised my overall winning percentage from 55.4 to 56.3%. It seems like the NFC will be a dogfight between the Eagles, Saints, Rams and Vikings. Last week, New Orleans went to Buffalo and beat the hell out of the Bills. The Los Angeles Rams blew out Houston, while Minnesota picked up a huge win on the road against Washington. The big news coming out of the league is Richard Sherman tearing his Achilles and Ezekiel Elliott dropping his appeal and will now serve the full 6-game suspension. This week I’ll be predicting a total of four games with the hopes of raising my winning percentage. Let’s Get Started!!!
We kick things off with the Thursday night as the Tennessee Titans face the Pittsburgh Steelers. We have a battle of division leaders in the AFC, which means a possible playoff matchup. Tennessee have quietly put together a 4-game winning streak, but three of those wins came against the Browns, Bengals and Colts. The Titans rely on the running of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry, but will that be enough against the Steelers defense? Speaking of 4-game winning streak, the Steelers are on one themselves with three of them coming on the road. Big Ben still doesn’t look the same to me, but LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown are two of the best weapons in the game. I’m riding with Pittsburgh to continue their winning streak.
Pittsburgh Win 31-20
This could turn out to be a battle for home-field advantage in the NFC for the playoffs. The NFC West leading Los Angeles Rams head to Minnesota to face the NFC North leading Vikings. The Rams have been one of the surprises of the league as they boast one of the best offenses in the NFL. By scoring almost 33 points a game, Los Angeles is leading the league in scoring, 5th in rushing and 6th in passing. Can they penetrate that tough Vikings defense? Minnesota is riding a 5-game winning streak and they have their defense to think for that. The defense is tied for 5th in the league by averaging a little over 18 points a game. This should be a good game and I think Minnesota will take care of home.
Minnesota Win 27-24
We have a battle between NFC East rivals as the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. Philadelphia is coming off their bye week as they’re riding a 7-game winning streak. Carson Wentz has emerged as a legit MVP candidate and the running game is ranked 4th in the league. The defense of the Eagles is starting to get healthy with the return of Ronald Darby in the secondary. Can the Eagles make it 8 in a row? Dallas looked awful last week against Atlanta as the rookie LT gave up six sacks from Adrian Clayborn. With Ezekiel Elliott being out for his second game, will the Cowboys step up and find a way to beat the Eagles. I’m going with the upset as Dallas finds a way to win this one.
Dallas Win 24-23
We now have the Monday night game as the Atlanta Falcons head to Seattle to face the Seahawks. We saw the Falcons come alive last week on both sides of the ball, which is positive for the team moving forward. Atlanta is currently on the outside looking in from a playoff perspective and they’re 3rd in the NFC South. With seven games remaining on the schedule, can the Atlanta Falcons make a run and get into the playoffs? This will be the first game Seattle will be without Richard Sherman and they’re still having issues on offense. Russell Wilson is leading the team in rushing and the Seahawks is also 2nd in passing also. Can the Seahawks stop the Falcons passing offense without Sherman and win this game? I’m going with the Seahawks to find a way to win this one.
Seattle Win 30-28
