Daddy’s Hangout 2017 Week 13 College Football Predictions

Week 13 College Football

Since last week was Cupcake Saturday, I didn’t bother to even do anything. Two weeks ago, everything almost was perfect with my only loss was the Auburn-Georgia game. My record was 7-1, which bumped my overall mark to 38-17. My overall winning percentage jumped from 66% up to 69.1%. With this being Rivalry Weekend, we should have some good games as the playoff chase continues to heat up. It’s hard to believe that we’re almost at the end of the season with this being Week 13. I’ll be predicting five games as next week we’ll be having Conference Championship games. Let’s Get Started!!

Week 13 College FootballWeek 13 College FootballWe kick things off with the Iron Bowl to determine who advances to the SEC Championship game against Georgia. The top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to face the 6th ranked Auburn Tigers. This game will impact not only the SEC title game, but also the playoff picture. If Alabama were to win, it will eliminate Auburn from playoff contention and the SEC title game. If Auburn were to win, they would advance to play Georgia in a rematch from a couple weeks ago. If Alabama were to lose and not make the SEC title game, would the committee still put them in the playoffs? This Auburn team is the toughest Alabama will face all year as their offense and defense is stacked. We all know that Alabama is Alabama and they always find a way to win, but I don’t see it this time and think Auburn upsets them.

Auburn Win 34-24

Week 13 College FootballWeek 13 College FootballWe stay in the South as we head to South Carolina in another battle of rivals. The 3rd ranked Clemson Tigers head to Columbia to face the 24th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks. Once again, this will be another game that will have an impact on the playoffs. For me, if Clemson were to lose this game, they would probably be knocked out of the playoff hunt. If they win, of course they’ll still be in consideration for the playoffs as they face Miami next weekend. For South Carolina, they’ve had a really good season and have flown under the radar, but the early loss to Kentucky really hurt them. Either way, they have a physical defense and will give Clemson fits. In the end, Clemson is the better team and should walk away with the win.

Clemson Win 31-27

Week 13 College FootballWeek 13 College FootballWe head to the West Coast just like the 8th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they face the 21st ranked Stanford Cardinal. This game will feature two of the best RBs in the country in Bryce Love and Josh Adams, who both were Heisman candidates a few weeks ago. Since then, Bryce Love is still considered a strong candidate and Adams have kind of faded away. Notre Dame was thought to be one of the teams that could crash the playoff party, but they were trampled by Miami. Last week, they barely escaped with a win over Navy and now they face the tough Stanford Cardinal. The Cardinal have struggled also, but Bryce Love has been the bright spot for this team. I’m thinking he’s going to have a big game against this Irish team and lead his team to victory.

Stanford Win 26-21

Week 13 College FootballWeek 13 College FootballWe stay out West and head to the great state of Washington for this rival game. The 13th ranked Washington State Cougars will travel to battle the 17th ranked Washington Huskies. This match-up means a lot for the Cougars because with a win, they advance to play USC in the title game. They defeated the Trojans earlier in the year and would love to face USC once again. If Washington were to beat the Cougars, Stanford will advance to the championship game to face USC. Luke Falk and Jake Browning are two of the best QBs in the country and will go down as two of the best from the Pac-12. This should be a highly contested game and I think the Huskies will come away with the win.

Washington Win 41-38

Week 13 College FootballWeek 13 College FootballWe have one of the biggest and best rivalries in college football between a pair of teams that hate each other. The 9th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor to face the Michigan Wolverines. Ohio State still has an outside chance of making the playoffs, but they will need help. They’re already penciled in the Big-10 Championship game against the undefeated 5th ranked Wisconsin Badgers. After being blown out by Iowa, Ohio State beat Michigan State and Illinois by a combined 100-17. The Michigan Wolverines can salvage a not too successful season with a win over their rival. This team has been decimated by injuries and they just haven’t lived up to their potential. This game won’t end well for the Wolverines and Harbaugh could be on the hot seat.

Ohio State Win 38-24
