It’s hard to believe that Michael Jackson’s Thriller was released 35 years ago today. Thriller has been regarded as one of the best albums ever released. Till this day, Thriller is the highest selling album of all-time with over 66 million records sold worldwide. The entire album was produced by the legendary Quincy Jones and it was a masterpiece. Thriller went on to win a total of 8 Grammy’s in 1984, which included Album of the Year. The album produced a total of seven singles, which they all did well as it was highlighted by the title track, of course. The singles were The Girl is Mine, Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be Startin’ Something, Human Nature, P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) and Thriller. As you know, the highlight for many of us growing up was the video of Thriller, which you can peep below.

The album consisted of only nine tracks, which shows you it’s about quality. Till this day, this is still one of my favorite albums of all-time and brings back many memories as a kid. After Thriller dropped, what kid didn’t want to be Michael Jackson or at least dance like him. The entire Thriller album is my Throwback Thursday and it’s definitely an album that should be in your collection. If for some reason you have never heard the album, check out the stream below. There are so many accolades this album has received over the years, it would take up so much time just to name them. Check out this link for more information on the Thriller album.
