Remember when Kanye West put out dope music? Nowadays, people know Kanye West for the wrong reasons besides being a talented artist and producer. I’ve never look at Kanye West as this genius some may see him as. Recently, he voiced his support for Donald Trump and claim that slavery was a choice. When I heard that statement, it pissed me off seeing that I’m someone that’s intrigued with history and how people were treated in the past. Enough of all that and let’s focus on my Throwback Thursday track featuring Kanye West. We’re going back to 2004 and the release of his classic, College Dropout album. The College Dropout featured so many tracks that could be featured. My choice is All Falls Down featuring Syleena Johnson as it was favorite track when the album dropped. Kanye West handled all the production on the album. Jay-Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Jaime Foxx, Twista, Ludacris, Mos Def and Freeway all made an appearance on College Dropout. Ever since its release, College Dropout has been on numerous lists as being one of the best hip hop albums ever. We Don’t Care, Spaceship, Jesus Walks, Never Let Me Down, Get Em High and Workout Plan. Slow Jamz, Breathe In Breathe Out, Two Words, Through the Wire, Family Business and Last Call are my favorite tracks on the album. It’s hard to believe that this album dropped over 14 years ago as it’s still one of my favorite joints. Honestly, Kanye’s first three albums are certified classic in my opinion.
