Atlanta Beat Dallas In Home Opener

Atlanta followed their win over Cleveland with a come from behind win over the Dallas Mavericks. Atlanta trailed by as many as 26 points, but they continued to fight. Kent Bazemore lead Atlanta with a career-high 32 points and Taurean Prince also had 24 points. Trey Young chipped in 17 points, which 12 of them coming in the fourth quarter. With Atlanta’s 111-104 win over Dallas, it ties them with Miami and Orlando for first place in the Southeast Division.

 

Luca Doncic finished the game with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Wesley Matthews lead the Mavericks with 23 points. Atlanta got off to a great start in the newly renovated State Farm Arena after they spent $192.5 million in renovation of the arena. Atlanta is still without John Collins, who’s scheduled to miss a few more weeks with an ankle injury. The Hawks will remain home as they host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
