Daddys Hangout 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions

Welcome to Week 8 of the NFL season. This season is just flying by and it’s crazy that the Los Angeles Rams is the lone undefeated team in the league. Last week I predicted 10 games and my record was 6-4. My overall record dipped down to 36-22, which lowered my overall winning percentage goes from 62.5 to 62.1%. There will be some great playoff caliber match-ups and possibly a conference championships game. The Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars continue their free falls last week. This week, they’ll play each other in London and the Rams will try to remain undefeated against the Green Bay Packers. The Sunday night game will see the New Orleans Saints traveling to Minnesota to face the Vikings. This week, I’ll be predicting six games with the hopes to get closer to my 70% winning percentage. Let’s Get Started!

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions As always, we begin with the Thursday night and it should be a really good one. The Miami Dolphins will travel to Houston to face the Texans. After starting 3-0, Miami have loss three of their last four games. Brock Osweiler has been inserted as QB with Ryan Tannehill being injured, but he’s been playing well. Osweiler heads to his former team without two key WRs in Albert Wilson and Kenny Stills, can he continue his good play? The Houston Texans started the season 0-3 but have won four games in a row. Deshaun Watson has been playing injured as he’s playing behind a less than stellar offensive lines. The defense is finally playing up to their potential. I’m taking the Texans to make it five wins in a row with a win over the Dolphins.

Houston Win 24-14

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions We have a battle of a pair of 3-3 teams that’s headed in the right direction. The Seattle Seahawks will travel to Detroit to face the rejuvenated Lions. Seattle is coming off their much needed bye week after beating the Raiders easily. They have won three out of four games after starting the season 0-2. Russell Wilson is once again doing everything for Seattle, but he has help and the defense is once again becoming dominant. After losing three of their first games, Detroit is riding a two game winning streak and it hasn’t been all about Matthew Stafford. Kerryon Johnson has been a blessing in disguise as the Lions have needed an RB for years. With the emergence of Johnson, I’m picking the Lions to walk away with the win.

Detroit Win 23-20

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions We have another great game as the Baltimore Ravens will head to Carolina to battle the Panthers. Baltimore is coming off a tough loss against the New Orleans Saints when Justin Tucker missed her first PAT. The Ravens still have the #1 scoring defense in the league and they’ll need it to stop Cam Newton. Baltimore is a very good road team, but can they recover from their tough loss against the Panthers? Carolina is coming off an incredible come from behind win in Philadelphia last week. Carolina trailed 17-0 as they headed into the 4th quarter, but Newton’s masterful performance lead them to the win. Can the Panthers ride that wave to a win over another tough defense? I’m going with the Ravens to upset Carolina on the road.

Baltimore Win 19-17

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions We have a potential playoff matchup with this game right here. The Green Bay Packers will travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Green Bay is beginning a tough four game stretch, and this have the possibility of being a make or break month. Aaron Rodgers continues to rehab his injured knee, but he still ranks as one of the best QBs in the league. The Packers defense will have to play the game of the season against this tough Rams offense. The Rams enter this game as the only undefeated team, but they’re also entering a tough stretch that will last for about six weeks. Can the Rams continue to remain undefeated? Can they contain Rodgers? I’m rolling with the Rams to win this one.

Los Angeles Win 34-21

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions This is the Sunday night game, and this could be a playoff preview. The New Orleans Saints will travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings. After losing their first game of the season, New Orleans have won five games in a row. Drew Brees is breaking records in what seems like a weekly basis. Last week against the Ravens, he became the third QB to defeat every team in the NFL. Can the Saints continue their winning streak against the tough Vikings? Minnesota is riding their own winning streak as they have won their last three games. Adam Thielen continues to be the best WR in the league as he’s a matchup nightmare. Minnesota will get a boost on defense with the return of Everson Griffen. Can they contain New Orleans long enough to beat them? I’m rolling with the Vikings to win this one.

Minnesota Win 34-31

2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions 2018 Week 8 NFL Predictions The Monday night game will see a battle of AFC East foes. The New England Patriots will head to Buffalo to battle the Bills. After starting the season with a 1-2 record, New England have won four games in a row. In their last two games, they put up 81 points against the Bears and Chiefs. Of course, they handed Kansas City their first loss of the season. New England is hopeful to have Gronk back, but will they even need him for this game? Is there a chance that the Patriots lose this game? Buffalo is coming off a 37-5 loss to Indianapolis and LeSean McCoy is in concussion protocol. Will McCoy get traded before Tuesday’s trade deadline? Either way, New England should handle the Bills easily.

New England Win 35-17
