This post was sponsored by the makers of ibi as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. The makers of ibi sent me this for free. All opinions expressed in my post are my own.
Do you and your family love to take pictures all the time? Of course, they do because everyone has access to their smartphone, and we all have at least a thousand pics on our camera roll. Have you all taken pictures, then later on sent them to each other? In the world where we want things in an instant, sometimes that takes a little too long. With my kids getting older, I’m someone that loves going through their old photos. Seeing that I have two grown kids and one that’ll be entering high school next year. They’ll be the first to tell you that I’m always sending them old pictures. Of course, the kids also find pictures they’ve taken to send to us also.
Wouldn’t it be cool if you couldn’t store all of those pictures in one spot? What if that spot could be accessible to the family members in your house? Guess what? There’s something that does that, plus you can access, search and share. Meet ibi is something that does all and we absolutely love it. As any parent could probably relate, my phone storage is almost full because the number of photos and videos. With ibi, those precious photos can be saved and backed up without concern.
Saving Photos with ibi
Setting up ibi was really simple and done quickly. All you have to do is plug in the device and download the ibi app. The app guides you through installation after registering your device. All you need is an email address, password and connect to your home’s wireless network. We have routers upstairs and downstairs, so we keep ours in the living room.
When you sync your phone with ibi, all of your photos and videos begin to back up on ibi. It’s pretty cool that you can sync your social media accounts also. When you have those pictures, you often worry about deleting them or losing your phone. With the ibi syncing your pics, that’ll be one less thing to worry about.
If you’re taking pictures in your home, they immediately show up on the ibi app. When setting up your ibi, make sure it’ll back-up automatically. To save data, set it up only when you have access to your home’s Wi-Fi.
Organizing Your Photos
This is another cool feature with the ibi. There are options provided to you by ibi, but you can also manually sort and organize your photos. As of now I’ve created albums for kids, cheer photos, music and vacation. You will see that your photos and videos by the month and year also. This is something done automatically by ibi, which is really cool. If I were to look for the kid’s birthdays, vacations or special events, there’s no need to take a while to search. You will also be able to search by name or location and this helps find what you’re looking for quicker.
Sharing Photos with Your Family
After playing with ibi, it was time to get the family involved. There are a couple of ways to share your photos privately through ibi. You can send invites to their email address to become a part of your inner circle. You can set which albums you want them to see and they can also share photo memories within your inner circle stream within the app. You can also share an album via a private website link if they aren’t in your ibi inner circle.
Of course, my wife and kids are a part of my inner circle. Since my kids love to post to social media more than me and my wife, they’ll have plenty of pics to choose from. In the past, we share our stuff through text message, but it’s all about the ibi now. If you and your family take a lot of phots, the ibi is for you. This smart phot manager brings us together because there’s quite a few photos that haven’t been seen by all of us before.
