Who Walks Away with the NFC West in 2019?

We finally got all the AFC out of the way yesterday. After going through the NFC East, North and South, let’s head out West. As we all know, the Los Angeles Rams ran the division and made a Super Bowl appearance. Seattle had an impressive season but finished three games behind the Rams. The 49ers and Cardinals finished at the bottom with four and three wins respectively. This is a completely new season; so, will the Rams make another Super Bowl run? Can Seattle get back to their glory of running the division? Can the Cardinals or Niners improve this upcoming season?

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals is coming off a terrible season a year ago. They had the top pick in the NFL Draft and the Cardinals used their pick on Kyler Murray. Arizona traded last year’s top pick in Josh Rosen to the Miami Dolphins. The Cardinals are excited about Murray and the offense new coach, Kliff Kingsbury will bring to the NFL. David Johnson should return to his Pro Bowl status and Larry Fitzgerald is still one of the top WRs in the league. The defense will suffer with Patrick Peterson serving a 6-game suspension. With the new coaching staff, can the Cardinals turn their franchise around? Will they contend in the NFC West in 2019?

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off a great season where they went to the Super Bowl. They’re hoping to return to the Super Bowl and have a healthy Todd Gurley this time. The Rams brought in some veterans to help out on defense. They brought in Eric Weddle and Clay Matthews with the hopes of bringing veteran leadership. Los Angeles brought back Dante Fowler Jr. after his great play when they traded for him. The Rams lost a great deal of players, but they should rule the NFC West again. The big question is, can the Rams repeat their success from a year ago?

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are hoping to regain their form of a few years ago. The Seahawks brought in a lot of help on the defensive side during the offseason. As long as Seattle got Russell Wilson, they’ll have a chance every time they step on the field. Seattle re-signed K.J. Wright and they’re hoping to have Mychal Kendricks this season also. The biggest loss for the Seahawks has to be Earl Thomas. Thomas went on to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. Bobby Wagner is still one of the better linebackers in the league and will help sure up the defense. Can the Seahawks challenge the Rams for division supremacy this season?

San Francisco 49ers

Many people thought the 49ers would challenge for the NFC West crown last season. Unfortunately, Jimmy Garoppolo went down with a knee injury that put him out for the season. San Francisco improved the offseason around Garoppolo. They brought in someone Kyle Shanahan is familiar with in Tevin Coleman. Deebo Samuel, their second round pick from South Carolina could thrive in this Niners offense. To help in the secondary they signed Jason Verrett away from the Chargers. Despite being injured, San Francisco is hoping the second overall pick Nick Bosa can be difference maker. Can the 49ers regain the NFC West crown in 2019?
