3 Potential Destinations for LeSean McCoy

3 Potential Destinations for LeSean McCoy

With this being the first official Saturday of college football, the NFL is making a lot of news. We learned that Jadeveon Clowney have been dealt to the Seattle Seahawks. We also learned that future Hall-Of-Famer LeSean McCoy will be released by Buffalo. LeSean McCoy just turned 31-years-old last month and he’s coming off career lows in yards in 2018. Despite the career lows, LeSean McCoy should be on an NFL roster in 2019 because he has plenty left. LeSean McCoy is less than 400 yards from reaching 11,000 yards rushing. Let’s see if there’s any teams that could use the services of LeSean McCoy.

Houston Texans

The Texans have a plenty stacked offensive line and one that McCoy can benefit from. With Lamar Miller going down with the ACL injury, Houston could use a vet like LeSean McCoy. McCoy is still a good runner and he’s a great running back that catches the ball out of the backfield. Duke Johnson was brought in via trade with the Cleveland Browns. The big question is, would the Texans be interested in McCoy? If they were, what would it cost them to get McCoy on the team?

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl out of the AFC. Melvin Gordon have stated that he wants a new contract or he’s holding out. Later on, Gordon said that he just wants to be traded from the Chargers. The Chargers have a great line and quarterback, plus they have a deep receiving core. LeSean McCoy could fit right in and this team could still be a Super Bowl contender. Would the Chargers bring McCoy in for a workout?

Philadelphia Eagles

As an Eagles fan, maybe this is like bringing a family member back. Seeing that we brought back Desean Jackson, there’s a part of me that want to see McCoy in that green uniform. The Eagles have a lot of options in the backfield coming into 2019. They traded for Jordan Howard, plus they drafted Miles Sanders who looked great in preseason. The big question will be, how many RBs will the Eagles carry on the team? They also have Darren Sproles, Corey Clement, Wendall Smallwood and Joshua Adams. Would the Eagles be willing to trade or release some good running backs to bring in McCoy?

What do you think about LeSean McCoy being released? Do you see him signing with another team? What do you think about the teams mentioned above? Leave some feedback about LeSean McCoy being released or anything related to him.
