Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions

For the second consecutive week, my Thursday night picks were incorrect. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went to Carolina and beat their division rival. My overall record was 5-3, which lowered my record to 11-6. My winning percentage dropped from 66.7% to 64.7%. Indianapolis went to Tennessee and pulled off the upset which shocked me. With Andrew Luck retiring, Indianapolis was an afterthought, but the defense has stepped up. The Los Angeles Rams beat New Orleans in a rematch of the 2018 NFC Championship. Honestly, I thought the Rams were my pick, but the Saints looked out of sync when Brees went down with a thumb injury. In a close Sunday night game, the Falcons edged my Eagles and I had the pleasure of being there. The Falcons could take control on the division with Brees out and the Eagles will be fine.

The Monday Night game saw the Browns shut down the Jets after New York’s backup Trevor Siemien went down with an ankle injury. This week, we’ll be predicting a total of 9 games with the hopes of getting back to 70%.

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We kick the week of with the Thursday night game between two AFC South rivals. The Tennessee Titans travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars. Tennessee is coming off a heartbreaking loss at home to the Colts. The Titans has the game in their hands before dropping the game in the end. The Titans have one of the more physical defenses in the league and they could pressure the Jaguars rookie QB. On offense, Marcus Mariota will have to make better decisions and that’ll be hard against the Jaguars defense. On the other hand, Jacksonville is already dealing with some turmoil. Nick Foles will miss considerable time with a shoulder injury. On the defensive side, Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade after getting into it with Coach Doug Marrone. Jacksonville can’t start the season 0-3, can they? I’m looking for the defense to step and lead them to the win.

Jacksonville Win 16-13

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions This should be a good matchup with the Atlanta Falcons traveling to Indianapolis to face the Colts. After an embarrassing loss in their opener, Atlanta played much better game. Despite Matt Ryan throwing 3 picks, the Falcons escaped their home opener with a win over the Eagles. The defense came up huge a week after being ran over by the Vikings. Can the Falcons make it two in a row? This will be the home opener for the Indianapolis Colts. After a tough Week 1 in Los Angeles, the Colts squeezed by the Titans last week. The running game have looked great for the Colts which is making Jacoby Brissett’s job easier. On the defensive side, Indianapolis have been a pleasant surprise. This week, their secondary will be tested. If they can get pressure on Matt Ryan, they have a chance to walk away with the win. In the end, I’m going with the Colts to win with a last-second field goal.

Indianapolis Win 24-23

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We have one of the better matchups of Week 3. The Baltimore Ravens travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs. Baltimore come into this game with a 2-0 record. Lamar Jackson have looked great in his first two games. The running game of the Ravens have been impressive along with the defense. With the reigning MVP up next, can the defense slow down Mahomes? Kansas City started the season where they left off from last year. Unfortunately, the injury bug has struck as they’ll be without Tyreek Hill for the next few weeks. If Mahomes doesn’t play out of this world, can the defense step up and slow Lamar Jackson down? It’s hard to go to Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs so I’m riding with Kansas City.

Kansas City Win 31-21

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We head up a little north for this matchup. The Detroit Lions travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The Lions are coming off a tough, hard fought win over the high-powered Chargers. Even though the Chargers are still without Melvin Gordon, Detroit held them to 10 points. Detroit is hoping that same defense shows up in Philly. Can Matthew Stanford expose the secondary of the Eagles? Philadelphia is coming off a heartbreaking loss against the Falcons on Sunday night. The Eagles could be without Alshon Jeffrey and Desean Jackson for the second consecutive game. Wentz struggled in the first half but settled in the second half. The Eagles defense should get pressure on Stafford. I’m riding with Philadelphia to bounce back and defeat Detroit.

Philadelphia Win 31-20

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We have a battle between two AFC teams that made the playoffs last year. The Houston Texans travel west to face the Los Angeles Chargers. The Texans were able to barely escape with a win over Jacksonville. Deshaun Watson will need to be protected against this front four of the Chargers. The Texans defense have been good, but they will need to pressure Philip Rivers if they want to leave Los Angeles with the win. Los Angeles is coming off a tough loss against Detroit last week. The offense couldn’t get going throughout the entire game. Can the Chargers rebound against the Texans? Can Philip Rivers return to form and lead the Chargers to the win? I’m rolling with the home team to win this one.

Los Angeles Win 24-17

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We stay on the west coast for this and head to the Pacific Northwest to be exact. The New Orleans Saints travel to Seattle to battle the Seahawks. As we all know, Drew Brees could miss up to two months with torn ligaments in his thumb. As we all witnessed last week against the Rams, the offense is not the same without the future Hall-Of-Famer. The defense will have their hands full with the elusive Russell Wilson. Can Teddy Bridgewater lead the Saints pass the undefeated Seahawks? As mentioned, Seattle comes into this game undefeated. Russell Wilson continues to amaze as he leads this gritty Seahawks squad. The defense is still a work in progress but they’re a different team in front of the home crowd. Can the Seahawks make it two losses in a row for the Saints? I’m riding with the Seahawks to beat New Orleans.

Seattle Win 30-20

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We have the Sunday night game between two of the best teams from both conferences. The Los Angeles Rams will travel to Cleveland to face the Browns. The Rams are coming off a pair of impressive wins over Carolina and New Orleans to start the season. Jared Goff haven’t had the breakout performance, but the running game is on point. On the defensive side, Aaron Donald is still the most dominant defensive player in the league. Aaron Donald will have to help pressure Baker Mayfield if the Rams are to walk away with the win. The Cleveland Browns rebounded from their home opening debacle to Tennessee. The Browns dominated the Jets on Monday night to win their first game. This should be a good battle between Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. against the Rams secondary. With this being such a huge game for the city of Cleveland, can the Browns win? I’m riding with the Browns and think they leave with the win.

Cleveland Win 27-24

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Week 3 NFL Predictions We have the Monday Night game as the Chicago Bears travel to Washington to face the Redskins. Chicago narrowly escaped a 0-2 start by edging the Denver Broncos. The Bears defense is still one of the best in the league. The offense is still struggling, and Mitchell Trubisky have been feeling the heat from it. Can the Bears finally turn the offense around? Washington comes into the game still looking for their first win. The Redskins loss to the Eagles and Cowboys, the two teams I’m predicting to finish atop of the NFC East. Washington have been dealing with several injuries this early in the season. With the Redskins dealing with all the injuries, Chicago should leave with the win.

Chicago Win 24-20
