I see no changes, wake up in the morning and I ask myself, is life worth living should I blast myself. These are the opening line to 2Pac Changes, which is part of his Greatest Hits double album. 2Pac would’ve turned 49-years-old if he wasn’t murdered in Vegas on September 7th of 1996. Changes were released after his death and it’s one of his most impactful records ever. 2Pac Changes talked about racism, gun violence, mistreatment of black people by the police and the war on drugs. Does any of that sounds familiar in 2020? The track was originally recorded in 1992 and later remixed and add some of I Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto. With the protests going on around the country, you’ll probably hear this track being blasted by the protestors. 2Pac Changes are my featured Throwback Thursday track and it’s a classic.
As mentioned before, Changes is from 2Pac Greatest Hits which went on to go Diamond. The Greatest Hits album featured a few new joints from Pac and Changes was one of them. Below is the track listing for his Greatest Hits and it’s followed by the stream links.
