Father’s Day has come and went, and I’ll admit it was one of my better ones. The cards are always the best, but the clothing, new wallet, socks, boxers, tank tops and others. My new Worx Portable Power Cleaner was definitely the surprise of my day. I’ve been trying to decide for years if I wanted to invest in one. It’s been probably 3 or 4 years since the house was pressure washed. We have been living in this house for over 8 years and I have never pressure washed the stairs or concrete. The 20V, 4.0Ah Hydroshot features a brushless motor, which is maintenance-free, while providing optimum efficiency and durability. Powering the hi-tech motor is a long-lasting 4.0Ah battery that extends run-time and is compatible with all 20V Power Share tools. The battery’s charge level can be quickly checked by pressing its built-in, electronic keypad.
The portable power cleaner has dual operating modes, selected by pressing a top-mounted button. At high speed, water pressure is 350 psi, which is six times the water pressure of a standard garden hose with nozzle. On low speed, a gentle spray is provided for watering plants or rinsing sensitive areas. You can rotate Hydroshot’s multi-head nozzle to adjust spray patterns from 0, 15, 25, 40 or shower. He can choose the shower setting for watering flower and vegetable gardens. Then rotate the nozzle to wash down decks, patios, vehicles, boat hulls, bicycles, gutters, siding, lawn furniture, undersides of lawn mower and tractor decks, and more. Or select a wider spray pattern to wash windows and screens.
The first thing we tested out was the siding on the back of the house. As you can see, it’s been a while since the back area had a good cleaning. We turned the spray pattern to 40 and the dirt immediately started to fall off. For this one, we filled a bucket up with water and used the accessory hose. Since the water was getting lower, we kept the water running into the bucket the entire time.
The real test was trying to clean off the front steps because we haven’t done it since we moved here. We have had so many storms and it was flat out filthy. The brown bricks on the steps have turned black and we used the sprayer at 40 on this one. As you can see, everything turned back into the original color. My wife was shocked at how great the steps looked because they were like that since we moved. The pictures are beautiful and the video shows how the sprayer was cutting through the dirt.
Afterwards, we turned our attention to the pathway coming up the steps. We used the sprayer on the one in the middle to see if we could see a major difference. Of course, the sprayer did an amazing job and we were really happy with how it turned out.
My Final Thoughts
We have only done a few things with the Worx Portable Power Cleaner, but we’re already ecstatic about it. This coming weekend, we’re planning to finish the siding and start on the patio. If this is any indication on their product, Worx is definitely worth investing and I’m looking forward to their other tools. Go ahead and order yours right now.
