Just in time for fall and the start of NFL football season, Mellow Mushroom has added two new flavors to its chicken wings menu lineup. New Teriyaki and Hoisin wings will be available at all locations starting Aug. 18. Mellow Mushroom’s oven roasted wings are double-baked for a crispy and flavorful wing without the use of a fryer or added oils. The new Teriyaki wings have a sweet flavor Teriyaki sauce is known for, while the Hoisin wings are both sweet and salty for those wing-lovers who want a little bit of both.
“Wings are always a popular menu item and we wanted to expand our flavor offerings for even more variety,” said Anne Mejia, Vice President Brand Development. “Wings pair excellently with an ice cold beer and make a perfect snack or meal.”
Mellow Mushroom has a long-standing history of finding the best regional and craft beers for guests to enjoy alongside their menu favorites, and with the wide variety of different style brews, there is sure to be one to fit each wing flavor. Mellow beer aficionados recommend choosing lighter lager or wheat beers to complement the spiciness of the Jerk sauce or the brightness of the new Teriyaki. A more robust IPA works well to pair with the slightly salt Hoisin or tangy Barbecue. And finally, the Naked wings are the ideal match for a fruit or sour beer, to allow the flavors of the brew to shine through. With so many tasty beers, there are endless combinations to try and enjoy.
Other Mellow Mushroom wing flavors include Hot, Mild, Barbecue, Jerk, Sweet Thai Chili, or Naked. All wings are served with carrots and celery, with choice of Bleu Cheese or Ranch dressing. They are available in orders of five, 10 or now 20 wing packages.

My Thoughts
I’m someone that loves wings and have tried them at so many places. I’ll even whip up some in the Air Fryer when I have time also. My choice was the Teriyaki flavored wings on my way to work. The 20 piece was my choice because I’ll take some home after work. They are amazing and some of the best wings I’ve ever eaten. The next visit to Mellow Mushroom I’ll have to try the Mild ones. With these wings, you can taste that they’re oven roasted, which is a good thing. Next time order some wings from Mellow Mushroom with your pizza.
