Welcome to another Thursday, this means we’re closer to the weekend. Many of us will have a three day weekend with Labor Day being Monday. My playlist was once again pretty nice with albums like YG’s My Krazy Life. My 1994 hip hop disc 1, J. Cole Greatest Hits Disc 2 and Jermaine Dupri’s Life in 1472 albums were played also. There were couple others, but we’re going in another direction for this week’s Throwback Thursday. With the record breaking Verzuz that took place between Brandy and Monica, we had to go there. It’s been said that over 6 million people viewed their epic encounter. We never expected to see this one when the Verzuz series started knowing their troubled past. The featured track is the Boy is Mine, which was their smash hit in 1998.
The Boy is Mine was on Brandy’s Never Say Never, which sold 17 million copies worldwide. Monica dropped her album, The Boy is Mine and it went double platinum.
