Welcome to 2020 NFL Week 4 weekend as we creep right into October. It now is starting to feel like football as we are now at the quarter mark of the season. We had a scare in the Titans organization with multiple people testing positive for Coronavirus. My record last week was 5-2, which still raised my record to 22-12. My winning percentage jumped from 63 to 64.7%. My two losses were the last two games played. Green Bay went to New Orleans and beat the Saints. The Monday Night game saw the Kansas City Chiefs go to Baltimore and beat the Ravens convincingly. After watching Patrick Mahomes on Monday, we see why the Chiefs gave him such a huge extension. This week I’ll try to increase my winning percentage with 8 games on deck to predict. Let’s go ahead and get this thing started.
As always, we kick things off with the Thursday night game. The Denver Broncos will travel to New York to battle the Jets. We have a battle between two teams looking for their first win. The Broncos played the Titans and Steelers tough, but barely came up short. Tampa Bay decimated them from the beginning of the game. Denver has dealt with injuries from the start of the season. With the Jets, many will say that they’re the worse team in the league. It seems like they’re the frontrunner for Trevor Lawrence. With that, could the days be numbered for Sam Darnold in New York? Honestly, it’s not his fault because the entire organization is terrible and will think a new quarterback will fix it. Either way, I’m picking Denver to pick up their first win of the season. Denver Win 27-17
We head to Chicago and Soldier Field as the Bears host the Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis was one of my sleeper teams in the AFC that could make a Super Bowl run. Of course, that’s all dependent on the play of Philip Rivers. Unfortunately, the Colts have been hit with injuries as they lost Marlon Mack for the season. Indianapolis has looked great the last two weeks after dropped their first game. Chicago comes into this game with a 3-0 record and tied with the Green Bay Packers atop of the NFC North. The Bears made a miraculous comeback last weekend against the Falcons. Nick Foles relieved Mitchell Trubisky and lead the Bears to the win by throwing 3 TDs in a little more than a quarter. With Foles at the helm, I like this Bears team more. Chicago Win 30-24
We now head down south to Dallas as the Cowboys host the Cleveland Browns. After dropping the season opener, Cleveland has won two consecutive games. The Browns have scored at 34 points on those wins while on putting up 6 in their opener. If the Browns are going to defeat the Cowboys, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will need big games. Speaking of offense, Dallas their offense has scored at least 30 points in their last two games. The Cowboys offense can score at will against any defense in the league. Dak Prescott will need to avoid the Browns defensive line lead by Myles Garrett. As of now, the Cowboys are tied atop of their division with Washington. Cleveland is tied for second and trail the Steelers by a game. I’m taking the Cowboys to prevail over Cleveland. Dallas Win 34-23
We travel to Kansas City to see a battle between two of the better teams in the AFC. The New England Patriots head to Arrowhead to face the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs. The Patriots are coming off an impressive win over the Raiders. New England currently leads the NFL in rushing as they are averaging almost 180 yards a game. Cam Newton has looked great and the Patriots offense continues to thrive. Kansas City is coming off a very impressive win over the Baltimore Ravens. Patrick Mahomes showed why he’s the league highest paid player with his performance against the Ravens. The Chiefs defense has continued their stellar play from last year. This will be a battle between two former league MVPs in Newton and Mahomes. This could be a potential playoff matchup and I’m going with the Chiefs. Kansas City Win 27-24
We have another battle between two potential playoff teams in this one. The undefeated Buffalo Bills travel to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders. The Bills are coming off an impressive win over the Rams. Buffalo jumped all over Los Angeles but allowed them to come back before winning in the end. Josh Allen has emerged as a potential MVP candidate with his great play thus far. The Bills are trying to remain undefeated after four games. Las Vegas is coming off their first loss of the season as they fell to the Patriots on the road. Derek Carr continues to look great as the Raiders are building a nice squad. The Raiders defense is still a work in progress, and they could have issues with the Bills offense. This is a tough one and I’m going with the Bills to win this one. Buffalo Win 31-30
We have the Sunday night game between two teams that has been decimated by injuries. The Philadelphia Eagles travel out west to face the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles have probably been the most disappointing team in the NFL. Philadelphia is dealing with a quarterback in Carson Wentz who has regressed in many people’s eyes. Can they Eagles finally get their first win? The 49ers have won their last two games against both New York football teams. San Francisco is hoping to get George Kittle and Deebo Samuel back in time for this matchup. Could Jimmy Garoppolo return for this game? Can Carson Wentz silence all of his doubters in a primetime game? This is a must win for the Eagles and I’m thinking they find a way to win. Philadelphia Win 30-28
We head to Lambeau Field for this Monday Night game as the Packers host the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have been the most talked about team in the NFL thus far. They have blown big leads in consecutive games and many have called for Dan Quinn to be fired. The Falcons continue to have one of the best offenses in the league. On the other hand, they also have one of the worse defenses. Green Bay is coming off an impressive win in New Orleans last Sunday night. Aaron Rodgers is looking like he’s making a run at the league MVP. Aaron Jones is becoming more and more one of the best running backs in the league. The Packers is one of the best teams in the league and one of the Super Bowl favorites. Aaron Rodgers should have a field day against the Falcons defense. Green Bay Win 38-28
This game has been postponed as of now because of Covid-19. The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Tennessee to battle the Titans. The Steelers and Titans enter this game undefeated and both with Super Bowl dreams. The Steelers offense has looked great and Big Ben is looking like his old self. We all know that the Steelers defense is one of the better ones in the league right now. Tennessee is hoping to capitalize on their AFC Championship run. The Titans offense continues to dominate opposing defenses and Derrick Henry is still punishing opposing defenses. This is another game that features a future playoff matchup as both are Super Bowl contenders. If this game gets played, this could be one of the better ones this week. I’m going with the Titans to edge the Steelers. Tennessee Win 31-28
