Busta Rhymes What’s It Gonna Be with Janet Jackson

Welcome to another Thursday and that means we’re closer to the weekend. Akon, Toni Braxton, Erykah Badu and Isley Brothers represented the R&B playlist this week. On the rap side, the Infamous by Mobb Deep, Loso’s Way from Fabolous and Big Tray Deee was played. 5th Ward Boyz Ghetto Dope album, Drake’s Thank Me Later and the new Busta album was played. Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God is the newest project from Busta. This is his 10th album and the first one he’s put out in about 8 years. For my Throwback Thursday, we’re going back almost 22 years. The first installation of Extinction Level Event was released towards the end of 1998.

The platinum selling Extinction Level Event was nominated for numerous awards. This album featured one of Busta Rhymes most successful singles. What’s It Gonna Be? is the name of the track and it featured the legendary Janet Jackson. The track and video was nominated for several awards also and this is my featured Throwback Thursday track. What’s It Gonna Be? is a classic track and one of the Busta Rhymes beat tracks ever. Extinction Level Event was a dope album and his new one is really good also.
