Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 15 NFL Predictions

Welcome to Week 15 of the NFL season as we continue to wind down on the regular season. My record last week was 5-3, which made my overall mark drop to 72-39. The winning percentage dipped from 65. 1 to 64.9%. The Chicago Bears blowing out the Houston Texans was my first defeat. The New York Giants falling to Arizona in a critical game was another loss. The final defeat came on Monday Night when the Baltimore Ravens beat the Cleveland Browns in an epic game. This week there will be another 8 games to be predicted with the hopes of getting closer to the 70% mark. Let’s get started!

We kick things off with the Thursday night game as usual. This is a matchup between two AFC West rivals as the Los Angeles Chargers battle the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers finally picked up a win in a close game as they defeated the Atlanta Falcons. Los Angeles is hoping to continue treading in the right direction to finish the season. They are hoping to put an end to the Raiders playoff hopes with a win. Can Justin Herbert and the Chargers avenge their loss to the Raiders from a month ago? The Raiders have lost three of four after coming off a 3-game winning streak. Las Vegas sits a game behind Baltimore and Miami for the final playoff spot. The Raiders need this win as they face the Dolphins next week and that could have playoff implications. Las Vegas should leave with the win over Los Angeles. Las Vegas Win 31-21

We stay in the AFC for the first of two Saturday games. The Buffalo Bills head to the Mile High City to battle the Denver Broncos. Buffalo has emerged as one of the Super Bowl contenders after beating the Steelers on Sunday night. Josh Allen is a legitimate MVP candidate, and the Bills defense is one of the better ones in the league. Can this Bills defense contain this young and explosive offense of the Broncos? Denver has one of the youngest teams in the league. The Broncos offense continues to get better as Drew Lock is becoming more confident. Can the Broncos defense contain the explosive offense of the Bills? This will be a good game, but I’m picking the Bills to barely edge the Broncos. Buffalo Win 27-24

We head to the NFC for the second Saturday game. The Carolina Panthers head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. After beginning the season 3-3, the Carolina Panthers have lost six of their last seven games. During that stretch, they were without Teddy Bridgewater for a couple games. Christian McCaffrey has been banged up most of the season also. The Panthers would love nothing better than to hurt the Packers chances at being the top seed in the NFC. Could the Panthers pull off the monumental upset? Green Bay has looked great, especially on the offensive side of things. Many people believe that Aaron Rodgers is the front runner for the league MVP honors. DeVante Adams has been unstoppable on his way to scoring a touchdown in 8 consecutive games. Can the Packers continue their march to the playoffs with another impressive win? I’m picking the Packers to win again. Green Bay Win 38-24

We have an NFC North matchup with major playoff implications. The Chicago Bears travel to Minnesota to battle the Vikings. Both teams enter this game with 6-7 records and a game behind Arizona for the final playoff spot. Chicago put together their best game of the season in a route of the Houston Texans. The defense of the Bears is never an issue as it has been the offense and Mitchell Trubisky. Trubisky had one of his better games against Houston. Minnesota is coming off a tough loss to the Buccaneers in Tampa. The Vikings moved the ball, but their kicker Dan Bailey missed 3 field goals and an extra point. The defense of Minnesota did an excellent job against the Tampa Bay offense for the most part. With this possibly being an elimination game, who leaves with the win? I’m going with the Vikings to win this one. Minnesota Win 30-24

This NFC matchup could be one we see in about a month. The Seattle Seahawks make that cross country trip to Washington to face the first place Football Team. The Seahawks are currently tied with the Rams for first place in the AFC West. Seattle are hoping for a win seeing they face them Rams next weekend. If the Seahawks are going to win, they must contain one of the best defensive lines in the league. Can the Seahawks offensive line protect Russell Wilson? Washington is in first place of the NFC East and they’re hoping to leave with a 500 record. Alex Smith has provided the offense with stability and someone who protects the ball. Washington will go as far as the defensive line takes them. This should be a tough game, but I’m picking the Seahawks to barely edge Washington. Seattle Win 24-23

This is definitely the game of the week and possibly a Super Bowl preview. The defending Super Bowl champions travel to New Orleans to face the Saints. The Chiefs have taken over the top spot in the AFC since the Steelers have dropped two in a row. Patrick Mahomes is coming off his worse game by tossing 3 INTs, but still threw for almost 400 yards. Can this Chiefs defense contain all the weapons have on offense? How will the Saints defense fare against this explosive Chiefs offense? The big question coming into this game is the availability of Drew Brees. New Orleans just had their 9-game winning streak ended last week against Philadelphia. It’s rare for the Saints to lose two in a row and I’m thinking it’s not going to happen here. New Orleans Win 31-30

This is the Sunday night game between two teams coming off of heartbreaking losses. The Cleveland Browns will travel to New York to face the Giants. Cleveland is coming off an impossible loss on Monday to Baltimore in an instant classic. With a win, Cleveland gets closer to finally clinching a playoff berth. Baker Mayfield has played great and the running game makes them a dangerous team. How will this Browns team respond after that loss at home to Baltimore? New York is also coming off a tough loss. They fell hard to Arizona and relinquished first place to Washington in the process. Will Daniel Jones play after his terrible performance from a week ago? How will the Giants respond to their beatdown from the Arizona Cardinals? The Giants can still take over the division with Washington facing a tough Seahawks team. I’m going with Cleveland to win this one. Cleveland Win 27-17

The final game of the week as always is the Monday night game. The Pittsburgh Steelers will head to Cincinnati to face the Bengals. Pittsburgh was undefeated a couple of weeks ago but have now dropped their last two games. Pittsburgh is now the 2nd seed and if that remains, they will lose their chance for a much needed bye week. Cincinnati hasn’t been the same since Joe Burrow went down with his season ending knee injury. This should be a Pittsburgh blowout. Pittsburgh Win 34-17
