Back in the 90s, we were really spoiled when it came to music. We had some of the best hip hop and R&B music that continues to be celebrated till this day. Back then, the movie soundtracks were something to look for with so many classics being dropped. We had classics like Above the Rim, I’m Bout It, Friday, Murder Was the Case and Sunset Park. One of the craziest movies during that era was one featuring the Wayans Brothers. Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood was the movie and soundtrack. The Wu Tang Clan, Jodeci, Lost Boyz, Lil Kim, Mobb Deep, UGK and the Isley Brothers all appeared on this soundtrack. Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood went on to go gold.
This is another one of those 90s soundtracks that had a great mix of hip hop and R&B. Renee by the Lost Boyz has been featured, plus you had a collaboration with UGK, Lord Jamar and Keith Murray also. Overall, this is another dope soundtrack that came out in the 90s. It’s hard to believe Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood turns 25 today. Check out the track listing and stream links below.
