Welcome to Week 10 of the 2021 NFL season as we start the second half of the year. Last week was a crazy one seeing that there were several unexpected occurrences. My record was for Week 9 was 4-3, which lowered my record to 44-30. My overall winning percentage fell from 59.7 to 59.5% in the process. The biggest shocker came when the Jacksonville Jaguars upset the Buffalo Bills in a defensive battle. In another shocker, the Denver Broncos defeated the Dallas Cowboys on the road. In their first game without Odell Beckham Jr., the Cleveland Browns blew out the Cincinnati Bengals 41-16. On Monday night, the Tennessee Titans beat the Los Angeles Rams without Derrick Henry. This week I’ll be predicting another 6 games once again as I’m trying to get back on a winning streak.
As always, we start with the Thursday night game between two teams that’s headed in opposite directions. The Baltimore Ravens will down south to Miami to face the Dolphins. Baltimore is coming off a hard fought win against Minnesota that went into OT. Lamar Jackson is one of the players that’s being mentioned in the MVP conversation this season. Can the Ravens continue to win and fight off the other teams in the AFC North? On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins just snapped their seven game losing streak last week against Houston. Despite having a 2-7 record, this Dolphins team is tough to play at home. This should be a better game that expected, but I’m still picking the Ravens. Baltimore Win 30-20
We have two teams that could possibly meet each other in the playoffs. The Atlanta Falcons will travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys. The Atlanta Falcons have won three of four and now hold the last Wild Card spot in the NFC. Matt Ryan has been playing lights out and the offense continues to improve every game. The defense will have their hands full trying to contain this angry Cowboys offense following a loss. Can the Falcons pull off a second consecutive upset? Dallas is coming off an embarrassing loss against the Broncos at home. With Dak being healthier, this should be a different Dallas team. Can the Cowboys defense rebound from their worse game of the season? The Cowboys should look better and leave with a win. Dallas Win 34-21
We have a battle between two teams that should be in the playoffs this year. The New Orleans Saints will travel to Nashville to face a red-hot Tennessee Titans team. The Saints are coming off a loss at home to their rival Atlanta Falcons team. The offense didn’t wake up until the 4th quarter and almost pulled off the come from behind win. Can the Saints offense rebound against this tough Titans defense? Tennessee is currently riding a 5-game winning streak and arguably the best team in the AFC. Tennessee is relying on three separate RBs in the absence of Derrick Henry. The defense has done a complete 180 and put on a helleva a performance against the Rams. They should make it 6 in a row and win this one. Tennessee Win 31-21
We have what should be one of the better matchups of this weekend. The Cleveland Browns will head to New England to battle the Patriots. As mentioned before, the Browns put on their best performance after the Odell Beckham Jr. drama. Baker Mayfield look comfortable, and the defense hounded Joe Burrow and the Bengals. The Browns could be without Nick Chubb as he tested positive for Covid-19 this week. Can Baker put on another masterful game in Chubb’s absence? The Patriots are enjoying a 3-game winning streak after starting the season 2-4. The defense is giving up 14 points a game during that streak. How will they fare against this Cleveland offense? This is a tough one and I’m riding with the Browns to win. Cleveland Win 26-24
We have the Sunday Night game which should be good seeing they all have been this season. We have the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. The Chiefs have won their last two games but have scored only 33 points COMBINED. We are used to this Chiefs offense scoring 33 points a game, which is a problem. The good news is that the defense has only given up 24 points in those two games. Las Vegas is coming off a heartbreaking loss in New York against the Giants. Derek Carr tossed 2 picks as the Raiders as they need help badly at the WR position. They signed Desean Jackson a couple days ago, but he may not be available for this game. Either way, I’m picking the Raiders to beat the Chiefs. Las Vegas Win 24-21
Last, but not least we have the Monday Night game between NFC South rivals. The Los Angeles Rams will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers. The Rams are coming off an embarrassing loss at home to the Tennessee Titans. The defense was manhandled, and the offense looked horrible in the Sunday night game. Can this Rams fix their problems on both sides of the ball? Will Von Miller finally make his debut as he’s dealing with an ankle injury? The 49ers are coming off a loss to the Cardinals who didn’t have Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, or A.J. Green. The defense was dominated, and the offense didn’t do much better. George Kittle could play more as he’s needed in the offense. I’m still picking the Rams to win this one. Los Angeles Win 34-23
