One of the things that you will catch me doing in my free time is reading. History is one of the things that has always been something I’ve gravitated to. Black History is one of the things that grabbed my attention even as a youngster. In middle school, my parents bought me a set of Black History encyclopedias. During my senior year of high school, me and some friends visited Clark Atlanta, Fort Valley and FAMU. College didn’t come calling until I had all my kids much later in life. Despite that, I’ve always supported HBCU schools by shirts and hoodies over the years. Unfortunately, there were never a sports store or site to get them like the major colleges. With winter around the corner, I’ve been looking for some hoodies and sweatshirts. Shop HLP has dope apparel and a vast variety of HBCU sweatshirts.
The site is amazing because they carry all the HBCU school apparel. In addition to the dope gear, they also give you a little history of each school. For instance, Clark Atlanta University was the Southern United States’ first Historically Black College or University, founded exactly three months after the end of the Civil War. When you wear something representing HBCU’s, you are wearing a part of history. Shop Legacy History Pride to grab a sweatshirt and represent a piece of black history.
