Daddy’s Hangout 2021 NFL Conference Championships Prediction

What did you think about the 2021 Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs? I’ll be honest, that was probably the most exciting weekend of playoff football I’ve ever witnessed. All four games were instant classics that came down to the wire. The Cincinnati Bengals went to Tennessee and beat the Titans to advance. This will be the first conference championship appearance by the Bengals since the late-80s. In the second game on Saturday, the 49ers beat the Packers in Lambeau Field. On Sunday, we saw the Los Angeles Rams beat the Buccaneers to advance to the conference title game. In the finale, we saw one of the best games ever in the NFL as the Chiefs upended the Bills in OT. The Kansas City Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game. The San Francisco 49ers travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams.

As mentioned before, this past weekend was one for the ages with all four games being great. The future of Aaron Rodgers has been brought to the forefront after their defeat. Will Rodgers remain with the Packers, retire, or perhaps sign with another team? With the cap issues facing the Packers it’s hard to see him returning to the team. Davante Adams is their big time free agent, and he will have his choice of offers and for big money. On the other hand, will Tom Brady finally hang it up after 22 years? There has been chatter that this could be his last run, but for some reason I’m not seeing it. If I were a betting man, I’d say that Tom Brady returns to Tampa and Rodgers signs elsewhere. Let’s see who advance to play in the Super Bowl?

Daddy’s Hangout 2021 NFL Conference Championships PredictionDaddy’s Hangout 2021 NFL Conference Championships PredictionWe have a battle between two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will head to Kansas City to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. The Bengals beat the Chiefs about a month ago 34-31 in a thriller. The win gave Cincinnati the AFC North crown, and it knocked the Chiefs out of the top spot. In that game, Joe Burrow threw for almost 450 yards and 4 TDs. Ja’Marr Chase torched the Chiefs secondary for 266 yards and 3 TDs on 11 catches. The issue for the Bengals has been and will be protecting Joe Burrow for this game. Burrow was able to do whatever he wanted against the Chiefs about a month ago. This will be much different seeing that a Super Bowl appearance is on the line.  Will the Bengals beat the Chiefs for the second time in a month?

In his two playoff games, Patrick Mahomes has looked like the quarterback that won the MVP award a couple years ago. Last week, he and Josh Allen put on a performance for the ages where we didn’t want anyone to lose. The Chiefs secondary was torched last week against the Bills, and they could be in for another tough one. They loss Tyrann Mathieu early in the game to a concussion and his leadership was missed. Mathieu should be available for this game. Will the Chiefs get revenge against the Bengals and head to their third consecutive Super Bowl? Will the Bengals get the best of the Chiefs again and head to the Super Bowl? I’m finding it hard to believe a team can beat the Chiefs twice in the same year. I’m going with the Chiefs to win and advance to another Super Bowl. Kansas City Win 31-24

Daddy’s Hangout 2021 NFL Conference Championships PredictionDaddy’s Hangout 2021 NFL Conference Championships PredictionWe head over to the NFC and their conference championship game. This matchup will feature two teams that are very familiar with one another. The San Francisco 49ers head to Los Angeles to battle the Rams in an NFC West clash. Coming into this game, Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers have owned the Rams and Sean McVay. They have won their six meetings including the game that put them into the playoffs in the final week. San Francisco defeated Los Angeles by three touchdowns earlier in the season. In the season finale with the 49ers playoff hopes on the line they defeated San Francisco again. The 49ers were down 17-0 before rallying back to win 27-24 in OT. Can the Niners beat the Rams one more time and punch their ticket to the Super Bowl?

Jimmy G played great in Dallas besides the one errant pass to upset the Cowboys. In freezing conditions, he didn’t play all too well, but they did enough to leave Lambeau with the win. Deebo Samuel was the MVP of that game along with the defense. With the Rams trending in the right direction, they will need to play a flawless game to advance to Super Bowl LVI. Will the 49ers make it seven consecutive wins over the Rams? Los Angeles dominated the Cardinals in the Wild Card round. They did the same against the Bucs for about two and a half quarters before turnovers almost cost them the game. The Rams is arguably the most talented team in the league. Can they play a full 60 minutes and finally beat the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan? I’m picking the Rams to edge the Niners to advance to Super Bowl LVI. Los Angeles Win 26-21
