NXTTakeover: XXX takes place tomorrow on the WWE Network. One of the more intriguing matches is the ladder match for the North American Championship. Velveteen Dream and Johnny Gargano won their second chance matches to be a part of the match. Who will become new NXT North American champion? How did we get to this point? After Keith Lee won the Winner Take All match against Adam Cole at the Great American Bash, he vacated it. All five are worthy of winning…

The Horror Show at Extreme Rules PPV Review

Welcome to the Horror Show at Extreme Rules PPV. If you’re a wrestling fan, this is a great weekend for us all. Unfortunately, I’m not spending $50 for a PPV despite hearing great things about Slammiversary. We had Braun Strowman defending the Universal Championship against Bray Wyatt in a Swamp match. Drew McIntyre put up his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler. Bayley defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross. On Raw, Asuka put her Women’s title against Sasha Banks. The New Day defended their SmackDown tag titles against Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura. Apollo Crews was supposed to defend the new and improved United States title against MVP. It was…

WWE Goes For Goldberg In Saudi Again – But Why?

No matter who they’ve put on the card for their Saudi Arabia shows, WWE has struggled to generate excitement among wrestling fans outside the Arab state about them in the past. That’s largely because they’ve built up a lot of ill will with their fan base by giving the Saudi audience dream matches of the kind that have never been staged on American or European soil, and the general public has accused the company of accepting blood money to go there and appear in paid-for shows. They were put on blast by the world’s media for going ahead with their planned ‘Crown Jewel’ show in 2018 in the immediate…

Early WWE 2020 Royal Rumble Predictions

It’s January, and for fans of professional wrestling, that means only one thing – it’s Royal Rumble month! For a lot of fans, the Rumble is a bigger event than WrestleMania. Historically it’s been a night full of thrills, spills, and excitement, and it allows us our first hint at what the WrestleMania card might look like when April arrives. In years gone by its already been obvious by this point what the major matches at WrestleMania are going to look like, but this time around we have literally no idea. Predicting the Royal Rumble winners is a bigger task than it used to be following on from the introduction…

Daddy’s Hangout Stomping Grounds PPV Review

Honestly, with the way the WWE have been going lately I was going to skip the Stomping Grounds PPV. With the Super Showdown still fresh in a lot of fans memory, this PPV wasn’t doing it for me. If you read online, fans have been shitting on the product for a while now. With the emergence of AEW and their successful, Double or Nothing the WWE have got to get things right. I’m not one on the AEW bandwagon because you can throw events together, but we’ll see after months being on TV. Anyways, I’m happy to say that I’m glad to tune into the PPV because it wasn’t bad…

    Daddy’s Hangout WrestleMania 35 Review

WrestleMania 35 have come and gone! The weekend started with another amazing NXTTakeover and it was followed by the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame. First things first, WrestleMania was long, I mean really, really long. If you include the preshow, there was about seven hours of action and I’m exhausted. Instead of talking about what supposed to happen, we’re going to jump right into it. After Alexa Bliss introduced Hulk Hogan and they did their thing, Paul Heyman barged by both to head to the ring. Heyman said if Lesnar can’t be in the main event, he’s ready to get the match over now so Lesnar can go to Vegas.…

Daddy’s Hangout 2019 Royal Rumble Review

We are officially on the road to WrestleMania. Royal Rumble has been one of my favorite PPVs because the Rumble is cool and all the uncertainty around it. For the second year, we had the ladies having their very own Royal Rumble match. Finn Balor challenged Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Daniel Bryan put up his WWE Championship against former champ, A.J. Styles. Ronda Rousey battled Sasha Banks for her Raw Women’s title. Asuka defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch. Shane McMahon & The Miz challenged the Bar for the SmackDown tag titles. Let’s see how things turned out with the 2019 Royal Rumble. We kicked the…

Daddy’s Hangout Presents WrestleMania 33 Review

Welcome to the 33rd edition of WrestleMania as it took place in Orlando. As you know, WrestleMania weekend is pretty hectic for the fans and wrestlers. They have WrestleMania Access, the Hall of Fame on Friday and the NXTTakeover on Saturday. Coming into WrestleMania 33, we heard so many rumors and potential spoilers leading up to the event. Enough of all the talking and let’s see how things turned out at WrestleMania 33. We started the main show with Shane McMahon taking on A.J. Styles. Let me say that I have never seen Shane display this much technical wrestling before. This match produced some really good spots, storytelling and wrestling.…

Daddy’s Hangout Presents NXTTakeover: San Antonio Review

Welcome to the first NXTTakeover of 2017 with it taking place in San Antonio. Despite having the likes of Finn Balor, Austin Aries, The Revival and Samoa Joe not on the card, NXT will deliver. We have all championships being defended on this special, which is headlined by Shinsuke Nakamura defending the NXT title against Bobby Roode. With so many rumors about some in NXT making it to the main roster, will any defect to Raw or Smackdown in the near future? Also, with Triple H saying he’s not happy with where NXT is at now, will that affect some of those names from jumping? Can this NXTTakeover live up…

Daddy’s Hangout NXTTakeover: Brooklyn II Review

With so much going on in Brooklyn this weekend from Goldberg being there, with him and Brock calling each other out and of course, Summerslam is tomorrow. As much as I’m looking forward to the Summerslam PPV, NXTTakeover: Brooklyn II was something I was excited about also. The NXTTakeover specials have been instant classic and this one should be no different. Let’s see how things turned out!! This feud started when Aries attacked No Way Jose after they were having fun and dancing all around. Aries nailed him with the forearm knocking him off the announce table and proceeded to beat him down. I’ll be honest, No Way Jose haven’t…

Daddy’s Hangout Present WWE Battleground 2016 PPV Review

Welcome to the Battleground PPV, this should be the last of the none Big 4 PPVs to feature stars from Raw and Smackdown together. Of course, the big news of the week was the WWE Draft and coming into the PPV the big news was the return of Randy Orton tonight & who will Sasha Banks pick as her mystery partner? Let’s Get Started!! The big mystery headed into the match was, who would be Sasha Banks mystery partner? It turned out to be Bayley from NXT and the crowd pop big time for her. As far as the match, it was really good and the crowd was into it…

Daddy’s Hangout 2016 Extreme Rules PPV Review

Another month, another PPV from the WWE and this time is the Extreme Rules PPV which featured a few rematches from the Payback PPV. My only gripe coming into the PPV is that WWE has a no blood policy and it’s kind of hard to sell an Extreme Rules concept without blood. With that said, let’s see how things turned out and hopefully the PPV will exceed my expectations. Let’s get started!!! This feud has been one of my favorites in the WWE right now with the matches between these four along with A.J. Styles & Roman Reigns has been awesome. This match was no different and with the match…

WWE Royal Rumble 2016 PPV Review from Orlando

Welcome to the much anticipated, first PPV of 2016, the Royal Rumble. I’ll be honest; it’s been a very, very, very long time since I was anticipating a PPV like I was with the Royal Rumble with so many rumors being thrown around. We heard a little bit of everything from who’s going to be the surprise entrants, A.J Styles could be debuting, could the entire Bullet Club show up or could Finn Balor be a part of the Royal Rumble. If the actual Rumble match didn’t have me excited enough, the matches before the Rumble match figured to be pretty good also. Let’s see what I thought about this…

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail from Buffalo, NY. Last week was a pretty good edition of Monday Night Raw, which was the night after the Night of Champions PPV. Let’s see how things fare with the special from MSG will be live on the WWE Network being this Saturday. Let’s Get Started!!   Good Opening Segment: John Cena opened Monday Night Raw talking about winning the title back and issued his U.S. Open Challenge, which was answered by New Day. They came out, cut a promo and the Cena said one of them need to get in the ring. Xavier Woods was the one…

The PPV was better than expected and usually the Monday Night Raw after the PPV are pretty good so I’m expecting big things from Monday Night Raw. Let’s Get Started!!! Good Opening Segment: The show opened with the Authority and the return of Stephanie. They talked about Seth Rollins having a successful title defense and also Daniel Bryan being out with an injury again. Welcome to the Battleground PPV where there’s been some interesting storylines headed into this PPV. We have the Fatal 4-Way championship match with John Cena defending his title against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Kane. We also have the battle royal for the vacant Intercontinental Championship that was vacated when Bad News Barrett was injured on Smackdown a few weeks ago. We also have some great matches between the Usos/Wyatts for the tag titles, Jericho/Bray and Swagger/Rusev. Daddy’s Hangout Presents 2013 SummerSlam PPV Review

Welcome to the biggest party of the summer and its Summer Slam. This is a PPV that I was really looking forward to because of the 2 main events. The build between Brock Lesnar and C.M. Punk has been phenomenal and Paul Heyman has been golden. Then, of course, the main event for the WWE Championship between John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Bryan has arguably been the hottest wrestler in the world for the past few months and is over more than any WWE star. Also at the PPV we saw the debut of Bray Wyatt, which I was also looking forward to. I was definitely hoping to see Ziggler…
