Ja Rule hit the hip hop scene in the late 90s when he was featured on Jay-Z’s Hard Knock Life album. Can I Get A… was the single and it was a hot song in 1998. Ja Rule released his debut, Venni Vetti Vecci the following year. The album went debuted #1 and it eventually went platinum. After the success of the debut, Ja Rule dropped his second album the next year. Rule 3:36 was the name and it made Ja Rule a superstar and household. First things first, rest in peace to Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Unfortunately, the Mobb Deep spitter passed away almost four years ago. The duo beefed with some of the biggest stars to ever to the mic in hip hop. 2Pac, Nas and Jay-Z are three of those stars they beefed with throughout the years. February 13, 1996 will always be one of the biggest days in hip hop history. 2Pac released his All Eyez On Me joint and the Fugees dropped the Score also. All Eyez On Me has been talked about ever since. The Score from the Fugees went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide.
