Three 6 Mafia Gotcha Shakin for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. My playlist this week was as diverse as it has ever been. Make It Last Forever, Emancipation of Mimi and the Raymond vs. Raymond joint from Usher represented for the R&B side. Blood Money, Trap or Die 2, The Documentary 2 from Game and Paid in Full was for hip hop. For my Throwback Thursday, I’ll take you in another direction. Mystic Stylez by Three 6 Mafia was also played this week. Mystic Stylez was their debut album and it definitely grabbed my attention when it was released in 1995. The following album, Chapter 1: The End…

Mobb Deep Blood Money Released 15 Years Ago Today

First things first, rest in peace to Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Unfortunately, the Mobb Deep spitter passed away almost four years ago. The duo beefed with some of the biggest stars to ever to the mic in hip hop. 2Pac, Nas and Jay-Z are three of those stars they beefed with throughout the years. After their 6th album, they became free agents and signed with 50 Cent and G-Unit Records. During this time, you knew that Mobb Deep would drop some heat. Mobb Deep had already established themselves as one of the best duos ever in hip hop. G-Unit had classic platinum albums in The Documentary, Hunger for More and…

Whodini One Love for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. The new Snoop album, Trap or Die 3 from Jeezy and the Day After from Twista started my week. Mariah Carey’s Daydream, Getting’ It by Too Short and the Flockaveli joint from Waka Flocka was bumped also. Seeing DJ Khaled is dropping his new joint tomorrow, the Major Key project was in rotation also. While any of them could produce a great Throwback Thursday joint, we are going in another direction. Who remembers the hip hop group Whodini? Whodini’s third album, Back in Black was also in rotation this week.  Here’s a little backstory about Whodini, they…

If you have followed me throughout the years, you will know how much I love music. It’s even more special when people close to your put it out. This past Friday, two childhood friends did just that. JP & Murda just released their new project OTR Legends. The OTR stands of Out the Road, which is where we all grew up. They have been doing their thing for years now. JP has a son named MKP who’s been featured on here before. JP & Murda came back hard with the Return of the Legends track. The video highlighted not only Out the Road, but the city of Gainesville. Great track…

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. This week will be a little different. We are honoring the late, great DMX who passed away last Friday. Ghetto Quran by 50 Cent for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. My playlist this week consisted of a lot of mixtapes. Southern Smoke 21, DJ Chuck T & 50 Cent, Dirty Harry and a Street Sweepers joint from Kay Slay. G Unit Radio 2 was also played, plus What a Time to Be Alive from Drake & Future. To finish things off, a couple of my personal joints to go with Short Dog’s in the House were on my list. We will highlight 50 Cent this week. As we all know, 50 have pretty much left hip hop behind and producing TV shows. We know about the highly…
