NFL Predictions Week 6

Daddy's Hangout NFL Predictions logo

Welcome to Week 6 of the NFL season and hopefully I can build some more momentum after my best week so far this year. Last week my record was 5-2, which brings my overall record up to 16-15 and in the process my winning percentage jump from 45.8% to 51.6. Now that I’m finally over 50% maybe I can start gradually moving up and eventually move closer to my goal of 70%. This week I’ll be predicting 6 more games and hopefully my winning percentage can continue to move on up. Let’s Get Started!!!

Atlanta Falcons helmet logoNew Orleans Saints LogoThis is the Thursday night game between NFC South rivals who’s going in different directions as the undefeated Atlanta Falcons visit the New Orleans Saints. The Saints come into this game with only one win and rumors swirling about the future of Sean Payton as the coach. When these two teams meet you can throw out their records and the Superdome hasn’t always been friendly to the Falcons. Atlanta has certainly looked like a different team under Coach Dan Quinn, but everyone knew the Falcons had talent on the offensive side of the ball and now the defense look hungry. Can they pull off the big win in the Superdome? I’m thinking the Falcons will come out victorious!!

Falcons Win 38-24

New England Patriots helmet logoIndianapolis Colts logoThis is the Sunday Night game between a couple of teams that’s built up a rivalry over the past decade as the New England Patriots visit the Indianapolis Colts. The Patriots come into this game undefeated and looking damn near unstoppable. Coach Bellichick will say this is a regular game, but this is the team that reported the Patriots and that sparked Deflategate last year. The Colts, on the other hand are dealing with major issues from the shoulder of Andrew Luck, which kept him out the past couple of games and how the offensive line is having problems. This should be an entertaining game and the Patriots should win this one.

Patriots Win 34-24

New York Giants LogoPhiladelphia Eagles logoThis is the Monday Night game between 2 NFC East rivals as the New York Giants visit the Philadelphia Eagles, which could be for first place in the division. The Giants could very well be 5-0 entering this game if it wasn’t for some bonehead mistakes made the first couple of games. If the Giants walk out of this game with the win, they could run away with the division already. The Philadelphia Eagles seem to have hit their stride the past couple of weeks and many think this is the Eagles team people have been waiting for. This should be a great match-up and I believe the Eagles will beat the Giants.

Eagles Win 33-24

Arizona Cardinals logoPittsburgh Steelers logoThis is probably one of the better match-ups of the week as the Arizona Cardinals visit the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cardinals have played like one of the best overall teams in the league and they made more headlines this week by signing veteran pass rusher Dwight Freeney. With their defense looking great to go along with an offense that has been impressive, this is a tough team to stop. The Steelers are coming off a tough road win in San Diego last week and they’re trying not to fall too far behind the Bengals. They got some good news about Big Ben this week, but it won’t be enough to beat Arizona.

Cardinals Win 26-24

Cincinnati Bengals helmet logoBuffalo Bills Helmet logoThis is a battle between a couple of really good AFC teams as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Buffalo Bills. The Bengals are still undefeated and they’re coming off a huge come from behind win over the Seahawks. Can Andy Dalton continue to play lights out for Cincinnati? Can the Bengals score against another good defense in the Bills this week? The Buffalo Bills will start E.J Manuel because Tyrod Taylor is dealing with some injuries. Will the Bills defense be discipline enough to pull off the huge upset at home against Cincinnati? I think they will, but still lose the game.

Bengals Win 23-21

Seattle Seahawks logoThis is the last game I’m predicting as the undefeated Carolina Panthers visit the Seattle Seahawks. The Panthers are coming off a bye week and they’re hoping to remain undefeated after visiting the defending NFC Champs. Can the Panthers muster up enough offense against the Seahawks? Can Cam Newton do enough to beat this tough Seattle team? The Panthers have many questions to answer, but so does the Seahawks. The Seattle Seahawks are coming off losing to the Bengals after having a nice lead on them. Can the offense do enough to help out the defense? I’m going with the 12th man and Seahawks to win!!

Seahawks Win 24-14
