Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail from San Jose, CA the day after WrestleMania. With so much newsworthy happenings at WrestleMania we get to see how things will be the night after on Raw and if you follow WWE, then you know the night after WrestleMania is always great. Let’s Get Started!!!!
Good
Opening Segment: The show opened with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar with the crowd going crazy throughout the entire promo from Heyman. They were cheering for Brock and you can tell he was getting a kick out of it. Basically Heyman said that Brock want his rematch on Raw then and now. That brought out Stephanie and the crowd was chanting for Ronda Rousey. Stephanie said that Rollins can’t fight him now because he was on the Morning Show but will fight him when he arrives. Damn Heyman is the best guy on the mic!!!
Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler: Could we be seeing the restoration of the Intercontinental Championship? Man this was a damn good match between these 2 guys as expected. The crowd made this great match so much better also and afterwards we saw Bad News Barrett attack Daniel Bryan. Sheamus made his return when Barrett was about to hit the Bull Hammer on Bryan and he was sporting a new, bad ass look. When Bryan got up, he turned around and hit the Brogue Kick on him. He then turned his attention to Dolph Ziggler where he hit the White Noise and Brogue Kick on Ziggler. The crowd was chanting, You Look Stupid towards Sheamus and then he grabbed the mic and said, I’m Back!!!
WWE Hall of Fame Recap: Really great Hall of Fame ceremony, one that you need to catch when you have a chance.
Lucha Dragons & New Day vs. Ascension, Tyson Kidd & Cesaro: Really excited to see the Lucha Dragons debut on the main roster and how about the spots between Kalisto and Cesaro? Pretty funny the crowd was chanting New Day Sucks lol!!! Kalisto eventually got the pin on Viktor for the win!!!
Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar: Before the match started, Rollins said he was jet lagged and his foot is hurting because he curbs stomped Lesnar and Reigns. Brock grabbed Rollins to attack him but he eventually escaped and Lesnar tore up the place. He turned the announce table on the announcers, brought in Michael Cole to F5 him and he grabbed the cameraman and was about to F5 him. Stephanie came out to talk some sense into Lesnar and told him to put the cameraman down and Brock gave him the F5 and the crowd went nuts. Stephanie suspended Brock indefinitely from the WWE!!! Brock hit another F5 on the cameraman for good measures!!! AWESOME segment!!!
Damien Mizdow vs. Stardust: Not for the match, but I’m looking forward to seeing how this feud will play out.
Curtis Axel vs. Neville: The crowd was crazy for his Monday Night Raw debut. This was a great debut by Neville and I’m hoping they do something with him because he’s a great wrestler.
John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose: Before the match, Cena issued an open challenge to anyone who wants a shot @ the United States Championship and Dean Ambrose answered. This was a damn good match also, the crowd was definitely into it cheering for Ambrose and saying John Cena sucks especially when his music was playing.
Bad
Paige, A.J. Lee & Naomi vs. Bella Twins & Natalya: I really wasn’t feeling this match and I’m actually embarrassed by some of the chants coming from the fans.
Rusev vs. Goldust: I really wish Goldust was treated better than he has been, but I understand with Rusev losing @ WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns, Randy Orton & Ryback vs. Seth Rollins, Big Show & Kane: The crowd really let the WWE know that they’re tired of seeing Big Show & Kane every week and I agree.
Overall Rating: 8.5/10- Once again, the WWE delivered after WrestleMania after a damn good WrestleMania. The crowd was hot all night and that made the night that much better even though there were some questionable chants. Brock Lesnar shined in both segments he was a part of and Heyman delivered another damn good promo to open Raw. We got 2 really good championship matches with Bryan/Ziggler and Cena/Ambrose. We also got a couple of great debuts from a couple of NXT guys with Kalisto as part of the Lucha Dragons and the former NXT champ Neville. The IC title picture has just grown with the return of Sheamus who turned on Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler.
